Gave up on the Man City game at half time and watched the second half of Notts County v Dagenham and Redbridge instead. Daggers parted ways with their manager yesterday and had fallen behind to the league leaders midway through the first half but had got back on level terms before the break.
The second half was an absolute procession towards the Dagenham goal, with County missing a host of chances and almost certainly missing out on at least one penalty decision in their favour. Cue the old favourite sucker punch with 5 minutes left as the visitors broke upfield and scored a cracker through former Ross County striker Inih Effiong.
Puts Wrexham firmly in the driving seat, 2 points behind with 2 games in hand after winning at home against Dorking earlier.
