I've long held the opinion that golf is the most stupid and frustrating game ever conceived. Today confirmed that when I hit my lowest score of the year, the week after we stopped playing competitions. 39 out, 43 back for an 82. Off the yellow tees admittedly but still well pleased with that.

Cut stayed at +5, meaning Syme, Law and Ramsay all missed out by a shot. Leaders are on -4. Jamieson is on -2, hit the pin on his 17th hole leaving a tap in birdie, but dropped one on his last hole. Grant Forrest on +3 and MacIntyre and Drysdale on +5 the only Scots that made it in.

Laurie Canter seems to be playing a different course from everyone else at the moment, he's seven under thru 14 holes to tie for the lead on -4.

Projected cut at Valderramma is currently +5, with 6 Scots currently inside it. Marc Warren just doubled a par 3 to go to +6, but I can see the cut moving that way too.

Robert Streb was 7 under thru his first 6 holes at the CJ Cup in Vegas, probably a little disappointed to only hit an 11 under 61 after that start.
