  1. Aye, it was pitiful stuff. Never seen so many misplaced passes. Been very poor so far this season, need to beat Japan to salvage some pride.
  2. Even without the extra day's rest you would have to make Djokovic the huge favourite. Kenin wins the women's title beating Muguruza 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
  3. Thiem had to work hard all through the set to hold his serve, but he has stepped it up in the tie break to win it 7-3 and lead 2 sets to 1.
  4. Is it ok if they are dead? Asking for a friend...
  5. Absolutely this. No other logical reason to bring him back.
  6. No ta. Not interested in only watching the same players. Biggest problem would be getting the very top guys to commit in the first place.. Tiger, Rory, Brooks etc only play about 20 or 21 tourneys a year. 4 majors and 4 WGC tourneys account for 8, plus the Players makes 9. No way they are going to add in an extra 18 tourney league competition.
  7. I've no doubt Bryson was only making an effort because the European Tour's stance on slow play is markedly different form the PGA Tour. No doubt when the PGA Tour finally warn somebody it will be some teenage amateur that will cop it. Listened to the Mckellar Golf podcast today and they were pretty disparaging about Mickelson, partly because he is taking the cash to head to Saudi this week, but mainly because of his downward spiral with performances not coming close to the talk he is coming out with. One glimmer of hope for Phil is that he turns 50 right after the U.S. Open, so could play in the Senior event the following week. Once he slips outside the top 100 then he drops out of the WGC events, and I can't see any way for him to get back up the rankings.
  8. Robert McIntyre back up to 65 in the world rankings. Jordan Speith drops out of the top 50, while Mickelson's descent continues and he is now 85th.
  9. Pity he is made of glass, top class performer when fit.
  10. Former Corrie star Neville Buswell's death was announced today, but in a plot twist better than most things the show comes up with these days, he actually passed away on Christmas Day last year. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/10819681/neville-buswell-dead-coronation-street-ray-langton/
  11. Bavuma gone now, gloving a belter of a short ball from Broad to Buttler. 235-5.
  12. Bavuma has somehow managed to score 23 without getting out as he has slashed at a few and got lucky, the latest one clearing Root by a whisker
  13. Speeded up, but still got a warning on the 10th yesterday for a bad time.
  14. Game over imo, van der Dussen walks right into a trap, holing out to a good catch by Broad on 98.
  15. These two need to be there at the close today for SA to have any chance of avoiding defeat. That was an absolute stinker of a delivery to Faf, feck all you can do with those.
  16. Philander has a hamstring tear, so England might only need 9 wickets for the win. Sad way for Philander's test career to end.
  17. Marc Leishman having as strange a round as you will ever see. He is -7 for the day through 16 holes, but has hardly hit a fairway. Once on the green though he has holed virtually everything, leads by 4 at the moment.
  18. Would be easy for the SJFA to publish them once they receive all the official returns.
  19. No glory hunters up our way. Our crowds have been constant whether we have been in the top league or in the second tier. Same hard-core of fans who go home and away.
