  1. EPCR need to get the finger out pronto, if they award Racing the win it changes the draw completely. Have to be fair to fans making travel plans.
  2. I really can't see how they can do anything other than dock Sarries points, a dangerous precedent to set if they don't.
  3. Arik Armstead and Jimmie Ward are probably the top 2 priorities on the 49ers unrestricted free agents list, with both of them saying that they want to stay. Emmanuel Sanders is also on the list and next priority for keeping. Biggest problem for the 49ers is that the trades for Dee Ford and Sanders have left them woefully short of decent draft picks, and with guys like Buckner and Kittle out of contract next year, they might need to shell out to keep them and let others go in the process. Kyle Juszcyzk is out of contract but the 49ers have an option to renew which you would expect them to do.
  4. 2nd ODI reduced to 26 overs. The start was delayed reducing it to 45, but then another delay with the Saffers at 39-1. Still some rain around though so no guarantee that they will get finished at all.
  5. You would have to think it is something that has built up over a while.
  6. Turns out the elbow injury which had kept Archer out of the last 3 tests in South Africa is a stress fracture. He'll miss the Sri Lanka tour and will hope to be back for the Windies Tests in June.
  7. We had to sell my late Dad's flat last year, and the Baxi Bermuda set up that was installed in 1985 was still working perfectly. Got it serviced before putting the flat on the market and the company that did it said they could still source parts ok. Efficiency of them is piss poor though even when they are working properly.
  8. I already did. 365 paid in at Petershill v Darvel, and 305 at the return. Obviously both committees, press etc need to be added to that, and kids went free at both games.
  9. 9 for Thursday. Got Shakespeare right for what I think was the first time ever, which was a fluke. Got the height of the mountain wrong. Too early in the morning for trying to convert metres to feet
  10. I'm nightshift and I'm knackered your honour. I'm also raging because I was going to pick him and didn't. Still pointless. [emoji852] Fwiw, we were shown Paths of Glory as part of our history lessons at school, one of Kirk's better films.
  11. You only have to look at Marc Leishman the other week, he only hit 3 fairways out of 14 at Torrey Pines, but still shot 7 under to win the tourney. That shouldn't happen. I really can't be bothered watching the bomb and gouge that you see every week on the PGA Tour, with the European Tour not much better. Saw pictures on Twitter the other week, Augusta keep buying up land, and the latest project seems to be to shift the 13th tee further back to make it harder to hit the green with a drive and a mid or short iron. That's one of golf's iconic holes, but the equipment has made it irrelevant. The circled bit is the 12th green and existing 13th tee, and Augusta bought land from the course next door, and you can see the new service road that has already been built. It's estimated it will make the hole 50 yards longer, but as usual Augusta are admitting nothing.
  12. Some cracking hitting here at the moment as New Zealand, currently 235-5 after 36, try to chase down the 347-4 India got earlier.
  13. It's a fairly minor transgression tbh compared to some of the shite restaurants serve up food on. http://wewantplates.com/
  14. I don't believe for a minute there were 100 more than paid in, one of our guys clicked everybody that came through the turnstile and got around 330.
  15. South Africa cantering this run chase at the moment, needing 97 from 126 balls with 9 wickets in hand. De Kock and Bavuma have been excellent on 81 and 73 respectively.
  16. He looks like a cracker. What has been most impressive from what I've seen of him this tourney is that he looks comfortable against every type of bowler.
  17. The USGA and R&A have finally accepted that we can't just keep making golf courses longer to accommodate the players hitting it further year on year. They haven't really came out with any plans on how to stop that yet though. One solution seems to be to allow a course or a competition to introduce a ball that everybody in the tourney has to use. Been rumours for a while that Augusta have been looking at a 'Masters" ball that would return the course to being played like it was supposed to be, with players having to use more longer irons for approach shots and making it harder to hit the par 5s in two. The R&A's big fear has to be that if the weather is favourable next year, there could be loads of very low 60s and possibly even rounds in the 50s at the Old Course. With the extra distance the players have added since the Open was last there, it's little more than pitch and putt to them if there is no wind. https://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/r-a-and-usga-outline-plan-to-fix-undesirable-distance-issue
  18. Have a wild guess at what happened next. [emoji23][emoji23]
  19. Denly eventually out for 87, England end up on 258-8, decent recovery from 131-6.
