  1. 50 for van der Dussen, lead by 249 and 100 partnership with Nortje not far away.
  2. You do have to wonder how many of the England team are fully fit. Broad was seemingly bed bound for 6 days, and others that are playing have been ill to varying degrees.
  3. And van der Dussen survives on umpire's call with the ball just clipping leg stump.
  4. As often happens with England when things aren't going well, the body language and onfield energy is really poor. They are just treading water just now with the match slipping away. Interesting that for once the commentary team are being quite critical of Root, Broad and Anderson in regards to tactics and field placings. As they say, England seem to have no patience and keep going for quirky field settings. Contrast that with SA yesterday who just bowled at the top of off stump all day and got their rewards with lots of catches behind the stumps. Root now also feeling unwell. Lbw review coming up...
  5. Jos Buttler the latest in the England camp to be struck down with the flu like illness that has been doing the rounds. He felt unwell on arriving at the ground and his condition will be monitored throughout the day. Bairstow will keep wicket instead.
  6. Markram out for the rest of the series as the finger injury he sustained yesterday requires surgery.
  7. City's defending is woeful. Good finish by Docherty tbf.
  8. Definitely. I never noticed the player standing on Mahrez foot until they mentioned it at half time, no way Atkinson saw that either. IMO that's where they should be asking him to go and look at the monitor and decide himself if that minimal contact warranted awarding a penalty.
  9. Atkinson having a shocker tonight, definitely a booking for Otamendi, but he should have played advantage there.
  10. Anything over 220 will be hard to catch, lot of bounce in the pitch today after a day baking in the sun yesterday. Only positive for England at the moment is they aren't doing as badly as the other team that won a boxing day toss and chose to bowl
  11. Fair play to Engand's bowlers for coming out and putting another shift in, but even with 175 of a lead already it's going to be tough for England to save this game.
  12. England 60-2 at lunch, Denly and Root had a good spell just before lunch.
  13. Some solid wids in one of the hospitality boxes, which the director seems to be happy enough to keep showing us.
  14. Had to edit that as I was doing Philander a disservice, he got Burns. Philander's first spell, 5 overs, 1 wicket, no runs. Van der Dussen drops Denly at first slip, don't think his keeper did him any favours by diving across him.
  15. Two new coaches for the Scotland team, Steve Tandy as assistant coach and Pieter de Villiers for the scrum. Matt Taylor has left to join Australia with immediate effect. https://www.scottishrugby.org/news/scotland-coaching-team-takes-shape
  16. England 15-2, Burns and Sibley both caught behind off deliveries from Rabada and Philander that reared up a bit.
  17. SA only add a few runs for the final wicket this morning, 284 all out.
  18. Nice words from Nasser as he gave Jimmy his 150th cap this morning.
  19. SA were 277-9 at the close, England will be disappointed with that from having them at 111-5. De Kock was the one guy who kept SA in the game, ending up with 95. Curran was the pick of the bowlers, took wickets at important times and ended up with 4-57.
  20. As nice as this looks, I can only picture the pool scene in Caddyshack when I see stuff like this in sports stadia.
