My Dad passed away in March 2018 from prostate cancer, and even though he knew it was coming and had a funeral plan in place and told us he wanted a minister to conduct the funeral, the one thing he didn't do was pick music. 2 acts he liked and saw live whenever they were in Glasgow were Van Morrison and Jools Holland. When he was being brought into the crematorium we had Into the Mystic by Van playing, and at the end as people were leaving we had Jools and Prince Buster with Enjoy Yourself, It's Later than You Think. I'm sure he would have approved.

Archer away for a scan on an elbow injury and doubtful for tomorrow. It seems whatever bug was affecting the England camp has now cleared, as they reported the full squad was training yesterday. They've somehow managed to shift it a few thousand miles overseas as NZ are now having similar problems.

First gridiron game I ever remember playing was 10 yard fight in the arcades. Think we had one for the ZX Spectrum called American Football, all you did was call the plays, you didn't control any of the players.

In the current climate where England are already struggling for good red ball players, it's madness to me to have both the Hundred and the T20 Blast. The county championship season keeps getting squeezed into a tighter schedule every year. Imo they should have scrapped the Blast and gone with the franchises in T20 form too.

Everybody in the park except the match officials could see the Renfrew no10 was losing the plot after being successfully wound up by our right back. The 10 then started a fight that descended into a mass brawl, ref decided the best option was to call a halt to the game. A decent ref would have stopped it before it started.

I wonder if the venue change has put people off, with the added expense/hassle of travelling into London rather than free parking at Lakeside. Whatever the reason, it seems to be a huge drop off in ticket sales. I can see it ending up like a similar set up to golf, with the PDC controlling everything and a system similar to golf with the European Tour/Challenge Tour. The downgrading of the BDO's status by the world darts federation to Associate member was probably the final straw.

She qualified for the first World Series of Darts event in New York for what she did at Ally Pally, but they have given her an invite to all the other events too.
