  1. I hope his body can hold out for him to reach 600 wickets, he's only 16 short at the moment.
  2. Unit Four Plus Two - Concrete and Clay
  3. Johnnie Beattie: Bayonne's former Scotland number eight retires - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/51025724
  4. He's certainly done it big time when it matters. His average is only 36 odd, but all too often he has come in while everything has collapsed around about him, and has been left with only the tail for support.
  5. That was a wee bit better standard with Veenstra beating Hood 3-1.
  6. Momentum shifted completely after de Kock played that loose shot, England were plodding at the time, but that was the shot in the arm they needed to get their tails up.
  7. Anderson looked gubbed in that last over he bowled, reportedly suffering a "side niggle""
  8. For SA to have any chance of getting a result they need to be there until well after lunch.
  9. A couple of times I've went to see the RSNO doing their stuff at the concert hall in Glasgow, one of them was a "Bond and Beyond" night, which was about a 50/50 split of John Barry's Bond music and his stuff from other films. The theme to Somewhere in Time is glorious live. I have a 4 disc set of the Prague Philarmonic Orchestra doing music from all the Bond films up to Die Another Day. The incidental music from the early films is terrific, but From Russia with Love is my favourite, especially this track.
  10. Rams also part company with running backs coach Skip Peete.
  11. Anderson got Hamza to edge one, he had looked very uncomfortable facing Stokes. 126-2 at the close, Maharaj makes it to the end as nightwatchman.
  12. The very faintest of tickles.
  13. Boom bang a bang.. Leo Carter: Six sixes in an over in New Zealand T20 match for Canterbury - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/50999396
  14. Ended up another humping, Australia declaring and setting NZ a target of 416, and batting a man short with Henry injured. Ross Taylor's 22 put him ahead of Stephen Fleming as the Kiwis highest test run scorer, but they were 38-5 when he went. They ended up skittled for 136, with Lyon taking 5-50.
  15. It's only a mistake if they run out of time tomorrow, which even after a decent start by SA seems unlikely.
  16. Brilliant innings. He suddenly found himself as the senior opening batsman in only his 4th match, and although he played a slack shot to get out in the first innings, he was very patient second time around.
  17. Think the stat before this test was that Broad had faced 30 balls in 3 matches, and had been dismissed 6 times. I know they wouldn't be out there for too long, but there is really no need for them to go out there at all.
  18. If anything he played it half arsed instead of fully committing to it, but definitely the right way to play. 421 lead at lunch. I really don't know why you would want to put Broad and Anderson in to bat, just keep them fresh to open the bowling. 421 is plenty enough of a lead, look for 450 if Curran and Sibley can get there, but declare if one if them goes before that.
  19. I'm surprised Athers is talking about batting for an hour after lunch. I'll be surprised if SA get near 250 never mind the 373 England have at the moment.
  20. Pope goes for 3, 315-6. Can Buttler do something similar to Stokes? Or will we have the standard 6 wickets for 40 runs?
  21. Time for England to really go for it, lead is 337 at the moment, try and get 400+ by lunch and put the Saffers in.
  22. Ton for Sibley, fluked an edge through the slips to get on to 99, but hits a glorious reverse sweep off Maharaj for 4 to move onto 103.
