    Week 8

Been a terrific start for the Niners, moving the ball very well.
  2. Very civilised. My cat tends to jump all over my head when she wants fed in the morning.

    Week 8

Panthers have been the 49ers Kryptonite for years, they've won the last 6 against us. If we can stop McCaffrey we can win, and the defense has been phenomenal so far.
  4. A few players who were on the verge of losing their card have pulled a performance out of the bag at the Portugal Masters. Jack Singh Brar was the man right on the cut off line at the start, but he managed a T8th finish to lift him up to 109. Justin Walters was 121st, but a T2 finish lifts him well above the line. Story of the week was Steven Brown, who was 150th and needed a top 2 finish, and has just won the tourney by a shot from Brandon Stone.
  5. UAE need to turn round a 1.5 deficit on the net run rate, not impossible but extremely unlikely. Been a decent tourney for Jersey with 3 wins.
  6. 2 wickets from the first 2 balls of the over, almost identical slogs to long on.
  7. Oman needing 20 from the last over.
  8. Even in the games that Scotland won they were fairly unconvincing. No confidence at all that they can get through the ko stages.
  9. As far as I could make out from what I read somewhere, the player who was being subbed off wouldn't leave the pitch where the ref told him to, so picked up a second yellow card. Players will soon get wise to the fact that the best place to stand if you think you are going off is bang on top of the centre spot
  10. That's what I thought too, you can't hit some of those balls anywhere, the Dutch bowlers have been on the money more often than not and they have fielded very well. 4th place it is then.
  11. He had some appalling kicks today, but God knows where he managed to find that angle given he was only a couple of metres in from the touchline.
  12. We had to bat first so that went ok, now 49/1 after 6, have to get over 200 again imo and do what we haven't managed yet, and bowl a team out cheaply.
  13. Blade Thomson standards of tackling from Biggar there.
  14. From the comments on the BBC live page. "If Tony Pulis did rugby, this is what it would look like"
  15. He's a twat, as are the stewards for not taking any action until Max admitted he hadn't slowed down. If he had slowed he would still have had pole position as his earlier lap was faster than everybody else.
  16. He does seem like a decent bloke, he did a sky zone bit at the British Masters a couple of years ago which was excellent, and I saw this one on Twitter during the Dunhill.
  17. I'll be surprised if Donald ever gets near the top 10 again, he doesn't hit it anywhere near far enough. It was remarkable he ever got to number one at all, but for 18 months or so he was one of the best putters in the world.
  18. The Netherlands have set Bermuda a target of 207 to win, hopefully they have tired themselves out ahead of tomorrow's match against Scotland.
  19. You only have to look how they flopped under the expectation of a home tourney to see the difference and how it can go horribly wrong. The thing that struck me from the build up this morning was the clear message that England have been planning for this game since the draw was made over 2 years ago, and it showed on the pitch today.
  20. Exactly this. The English media aren't usually slow to overhype their international teams, but somehow this week they have been portrayed as the hopeless plucky underdog.
  21. This came up as my Facebook memory this morning, IIRC he had beat Robredo twice in a week in fairly epic matches. [emoji23]
  22. Yep, he won the PGA at Wentworth, funnily enough beating Marc Warren in a play-off. He also won the silver medal as leading amateur at the Open in 2009, finishing 13th in the tourney. 6 or 7 years ago if you were asked to pick an Italian who would win a major you would have picked him ahead of Molinari. Hopefully he can claw his way back, he looked like a terrific player back then.
