  1. Nothing #dece about flinging shite, 8 mile.
  2. It's easily surpassed Arrested Dev as my favourite US comedy.
  3. Caught Can U Dance at Parklife Festival and it was definitely one of the most fun sets I've ever been to. Managed to chart a path from Joy Orbison & Boddika, Mosca and Tessela to The Police, KC & the Sunshine Band and Cyndi Lauper via Kelis, The Streets and Eminem without it ever sounding like it didn't go. Amazing set.
  4. Someone at Parklife asked for me to take a selfie for them so I proceeded to flip the screen and take a photo of myself before scampering off. I am hilarious.
  5. Both times I've heard that (Erol at Rooms and 2manydjs at Riverside) it was the undoubted highlight. It's hilarious how great that remix is when the album is so dull.
  6. I was given a disc on mindfulness off someone today. Planning to give it a go and start chilling out properly for at least 10 minutes a day.
  7. Again, this isn't an adaptation of the books. It's a TV show BASED ON the story in the books. That means they can make the characters how they want. They can make them totally different to the books as it's not an adapta-
  8. Our parklife squad are trying to arrange to go to the Eats Everything cruise. Only caught 20 minutes on Saturday cause we were in between bouts of euphoria and were completely soaked from the rain to properly get into it. Got tickets for Bicep (who we missed as well) and John Talabot (who was one of the standouts of Subby last summer) next weekend beginning the day of my graduation. Should be some trips.
  9. Counselling telephone assessment on the 16th then we'll see where I go from there. Apart from a major almost overwhelming comedown after Parklife Festival I have to say the sertraline's generally been a good thing. Feeling much better in general.
  10. That's the way I view it. Of course it's going to be a massively contentious issue to Liverpool after the way it was covered up by the government and the police.
  11. Aye I was told to start on half for a week but I just started with a full one a day as I've got enough to last till my next appointment. Kinda glad I did, feeling much better thanks to the dopamine hit I think. Hopefully it persists for a while. It's just small steps I guess and if you're starting to speak to folk and arranging things to do then it's a good start. Good luck, bro.
  12. You'll probably be recommended to stick it out initially. It generally takes a couple of weeks to take a hold, I think. I've just been prescribed Sertraline a couple of days ago and it's definitely causing more of a reaction than the citalopram. Each night I've felt dead woozy for ages but almost immediately after I'm feeling like I'm rushing from a pill. Was quite a good feeling for a bit but it left me too restless to get much in the way of sleep. Good and bad there, I guess but if something's happening then I'm willing to stick it out just to see how it goes.
  13. I enjoyed it. Someone I follow on Twitter broke in backstage and yelled 'ENTER SHITE' at the bassist so I guess you can't please everyone.
  14. Got offered a free ticket to see Mac DeMarco tonight so naturally jumped at the chance. Was a really chilled gig. I've heard a lot about him being a shambles onstage and his chat certainly was, er, strange. As a performer though he was very good. The ten minute Enter Sandman encore was well worth the 2 quid I paid for the cloakroom as well. Would recommend.
  15. I gave up them. You'll tend to find that although you may feel something very soon you're going to wait a long time to find the right combination. It took my girlfriend who is diagnosed bipolar five years to finally find the right combination of stuff. Don't be afraid to challenge your doc now and again regarding what's best for you.
  16. The one major thing I noticed with citalopram is that it made me last for ages in bed which is both a plus and a minus. Considering I started on it as soon as I met my current girlfriend it could have been problematic but she's been good about it. With regards to parents, I told my mum who got really angry about it. I think she felt it was a failure on her part but after reading about it she's got much better. My da basically forgot about it but that suits me. He's not really the best at that sort of thing anyway.
  17. The only solution is to emulate Spanish America and start selling whiteness to people.
  18. I'm heading down as well. Was gonna go to Nina but I reckon we'll be a train wreck after the Sunday's finished. The entire festival looks incredible though, so much going on all the time. Completely forgot Bicep was playing for example.
  19. Was there, mate! Agree about the essential mix. The first 15 minutes in particular are incredible.
  20. Anyone else listening to Radio One at the moment? Jackmaster's presenting an hour's documentary on the Glasgow music scene covering the Sub Club, The Arches, Colours, Rubadub Records, HudMo & Rustie and labels such as Soma and Numbers. Well worth a listen if you've any interest in dance music. Also worth a listen if you're a fan of hilarious Glaswegian accents.
  21. Check out Daft Punk's new single "Get Lucky" if you get the chance. Sound of the summer.
  22. Have you seen his new 'professional YouTuber' videos? Brilliant.
