  1. A 25-0 pumping is hard to defend but........Let's remember Selkirk were the last LL representatives standing in last season's competition albeit losing 10-0 in the last 16 to an impressive Hamilton side who just a few weeks earlier beat Rangers 7-0.A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then but Turriff and Lossiemouth both lost 11 goals in this seasons competition to Forfar and Ross County whilst ww lost 8-0 v Dundee. They're still hammerings. It seems there's a massive gulf between LL /HFL sides even at this level when it comes to playing spfl sides.Sad for Selkirk but you'd think there be at least 1 club in the LL from the Borders who'd be able to pick the best in the area at this level and at least compete in the LL u20 s league.
  2. He as ivo says is still active in the club but at the age of 71 decided to step down from the ownership side. Not sure if they still do it but if you had a Newcastle or Sunderland season ticket you got into the "Heed " games for £10 as opposed to normal £15 on production of season ticket. Quite a good initiative if one or other away from home and ye fancied a fitba fix. Would love them in a new ground though as that athletics track makes it a difficult atmosphere. They'll never be a big club but football league status is a must for their small band of hard core travelling fans.
  3. He retired in summer and chairmanship and general running of club were taken over by a local lad and lass who have an environmental business in Consett. I think they have basically stepped up from being on the board as their company were already a sponsor of the club.
  4. Rosler gone now. It's becoming a piss take now ? Ffs Steve Evans favourite al give him less games than Rosler
  5. Going by the previous 8 pages of reading I'd say NO??????
  6. And will be playing home games at Ainslie Park
  7. You been to Coldstream lately..... It's not that long ago yous had nowt. I'm sure your committee would just love to give up years and years of tradition of playing in the big Scottish and forget about licensing. What's your crowds now like ? 3 men and a dug ?
  8. Don't think its always been fun playing at your park like...... You at the wind up.....
  9. I could be wrong but think Bonnyrigg social club and Bonnyrigg rose fc are no longer associated with one another ? Easthouses did they receive a huge help from the council for their improvements ?
  10. Went for pish at half time. Could nae see for smoke. Just like to thank the TWO hard guys who wanted a square go.total fannies (and they were Scottish) stewarding was a feckn farce polisman says dont let them ruin your day. WTF !!!
  11. Its not all about the convenience of the fans.Everyone on here kicking off about the ticket farce should be in the supporters club.Guranteed massive ques on the day.Seems all online bookings were pick Ups and telephone calls sent by £2 postage or more recorded.Extra £5 minimum on already overpriced tickets is the farce. For the record im going to Ireland game as its far more important than the England game.England on a Tuesday night not even at our national stadium in what is ridiculously priced was a boycott from me.
  12. I thought Gretna 08 had nothing to do with the Gretna of old cic
  13. Maybe so Mrs M but Corrie currently has a storyline about an adult getting addicted to taking pills that Emmerdale disposed of several months ago.
  14. Is it compulsory for licensing purposes to have a youth set up ??
  15. 4 defeats in 6 says it all. Sacked by forest green then takes on job as big as Leeds united. Wtf is going on ?
  16. Well I passed st.james' park tonight and couldn't walk past without a wee look. 2 innocent passionate Newcastle utd fc fans were on that flight heading for new Zealand to see their team. Unfortunately they won't ever return. P&b 99% of the time is about football. Tonight I salute football memorabilia from rangers,Celtic, hearts and st.mirren fans along with many english teams who have donated their merchandise to the shrine outside st.james' park. Not sure if this been posted elsewhere but as much as there are politics involved football is one big family that unites the public whether black/red white or rangers/celtic (2 strips standing together). One Sunderland fan set up a page to get £100 worth of flowers to show support. That figure last I checked was at 25k. Amazing. The final figure will be given to cancer charities as far as im aware. Rip all the innocent victims!
  17. legendary one liners and thouroughly knowledgeable guy. Will be sadly missed. Rip sid.
  18. not recommended for the faint hearted ? I was in the main stand when Gordon hunter scored the winner aw them years ago. Does it merit me a ticket ? Does it fcuk ! I've a funny feeling this game Will be a lot more volatile than that and for the 3 o clock kick off and pubs open 24 hours strathclydes finest gonna be in for a busy day. On the loyalty front hibs average this season just under 10k with hearts a wee bit more. Why no just toss a coin and play at easter road or tynecastle, that way there's not a hope in hell for "glory hunters" problem solved everybody happy
  19. what over a day oot to gretna !! not that impressive, mackems no beat everton for over 10 years something like 20 games. Score maybes surprise but everton bit of bogey team for sunderland. Everton got momentum for satday and may not even be favourites ? Should be cracking semi final though.
