  1. If we can only score one goal from all the chances we make, that’s not good. The game of football is all about putting the ball in the net. In games where we have a makeshift defence the star turns have to show their quality and score some goals.
  2. The forwards and midfielders need a boot up the arse too. Never mind last minute goals, a few more goals at any time would do. That would help our under-strength defence out somewhat.
  3. Life is for Livingston. At least that’s what the advert said. When is it for Rovers? Please God!
  4. They need to shoogle their balls better.
  5. Have we gone a goal up in all of them too? The one I bothered to go to in 2020, Baird scored first, then we lost 2 or 3-1. Think we lost the next one 2-1 in the Covid years with Vaughan scoring first.
  6. We need us some of them late goals again. This scoring one early goal then losing isn’t working for me.
  7. I suppose Ross Laidlaw is the other one. Unlike Bates, nobody was that fussed about him going, but he’s managed to have a decent career since leaving. I recall the club mentioning some stuff about fans (those idiot fans, whit they like!) not seeing the benefit of the Bates transfer. I suspect the ‘benefit’ was Thompson and Roberts.
  8. Jordan Thompson is an English Championship standard player! I’m not sure Scott Roberts level. Did he find it? Edit: aye, he did. Albion Rovers and now Broomhill. Still playing though.
  9. Anyone heard anything yet about tickets?
  10. Do Livi do PPV and if so, are they covering the game tomorrow?
  11. it is a bit of theme during Murray’s time here. We have hunners of midfielders but defenders and forwards (real forwards!) are a bit think on the ground.
  12. This is pretty much me. I usually make a couple of away games and about two thirds of home games. Only away game I’ve been to so far is Hibs away; August in the sunshine. Cant see me heading to Livi on Saturday. I ticked Almondvale off the grounds list when we played them in the Scottish Cup in 2020.
  13. True, but you could see by the crowd on Saturday that figure looked pretty accurate.
  14. A definite positive is the crowd situation this season. When was the last time we had crowds like that in December and mid-January? Will they last or is this a one season wonder?
  15. ‘Listen to’ is pushing it but I have it on in the background and I catch bits and pieces.
  16. We seem to fall to bits every year around Christmas time now. I suppose that beats the clocks go back years. On a positive note, 3500 there today. That’s crazy. Last season that would have been 1500-1600. Flip side of that was the atmosphere was absolutely flat. Still, finding 2000 additional fans who’ll turn up for run of the mill league fixtures is pretty remarkable.
  17. Without the late goals we struggle a bit for results.
  18. He was good enough to play against Rangers last season. He didn’t look out of place.
  19. Aye, that wasn't great. Too many key players missing, players out of position, and it just wasn't happening. A big crowd but the atmosphere was really flat.
  20. I missed the last half hour cause I had to pick my daughter up. I hoped when the subs came on for us we’d make a better fist of it and get a goal. Obviously wasn’t to be. Injuries and suspensions looking to be de-railing our season.
  21. Not that there’s been many for Rovers, but I like Diamond TVs half time highlights reel.
  22. Aye, McNeil had been good so far. Good save from Todorov before the goal. We started well and lasted about 10 mins on the front foot, but it’s been all Airdrie since then.
  23. Further proof that Kirkcaldy is in the World . I am watching.
