  1. 1 win in 5 and another poor afternoon. Corr good and Turner was handy but Murrayball don’t work no more unfortunately…been figured out and the lucky breaks have ended. The season changed on the 22nd of December vs Ayr, loss of Stanton and drawing a game when leading against 10 men. 5 teams in this league have conceded less goals that this. No title challenge when you’ve no recognised defence.
  2. What does a good game look like if decent is 7 goals?..both teams having the lead and two late goals to win a game.
  3. If you find a solution please let me know. I’ve clicked the link and also only get the west stand.
  4. Really hope Stanton comes back on schedule or early please In terms of class of player we’ve had at Starks he’s in the upper level for me. A genuine box to box midfielder, can intercept, shoot, find a dangerous forward pass…I’d back him to be able to play anywhere on the park. How he plays at Championship level is beyond me and I’ll not have it that all 10 SPL clubs have better across their midfield. We’ve looked a shell of our team without him.
  5. When there’s 16 games to go and we’re one win (against a depleted Pars) in 4 and a downturn in performance, VAR and changing pitches is an irrelevance at this stage. Getting another body or two would be great and bouncing back with a convincing win tomorrow is all we need. As clichéd as it is it really is one game at a time. Fantastic news on Byrne, was crucial we retained him. On Easton that speculation won’t go away but I’d actually drop him to the bench tomorrow..it worked last time Murray made him ride pine for a couple of games and imo his form last couple merits a little change and for me that’s starting with Connolly.
  6. Can’t lie, if we get Ashcroft it’ll be a fantastic coup and from our perspective it’ll be an enjoyable read on here, X and pars.net (or whatever it’s called) with the level of seethe. All our business from the summer to date, every player has mentioned Potter being an influence. I don’t know what sweet magic he’s whispering but I’m all for it.
  7. Fair enough. As I said no malice intended and wouldn’t want the Pars down as were odds against to go up. I think the Championship next season whilst won’t be the strongest of all time has the chances of being the tightest ever. Replace DU with Livi (who I expect to do a Hamilton) and Abroath or QP with Falkirk. There would be very little you’d imagine between all 10 sides. Thats next season though, all you guys will be concerned with is what’s happening over the next 20 days.
  8. Surprised to not see any incoming with you guys yet. I remember reading a number of your fans being disappointed with the lack of summer business and that was with no injuries ! Your current situation is desperate and ludicrously unlucky, so for an outsider looking in its peculiar to not have seen emergency cover on opening of window. On assumption deals were being worked prior. Being honest I really don’t rate McPake whatsoever and do wonder if he’s got a very narrow and restricted view when looking for targets. Players unknown to the championship from Ireland and lower leagues of England have came in but if McPake only deals with the known then it appears your shopping at a level below DU, Partick, us and clearly ICT. No malice intended whatsoever and Dunfermline need to be a Championship club as a minimum but you cannot continue with current squad as is and expect to not finish any better than 9th imo. Suspect keeper, good defenders but all out and relying on Jak for goals isn’t too clever a situation to be in. We were in a poor situation last season with some players that haven’t even been picked up at L2 level but with Stanton, Vaughan and Connolly we had enough to be ahead of a chronic Cove and Hamilton. Abroath and QP are better than them and that’s got to be the concern..
  9. I can’t accept thinking that this could be a reality - no thank you. On a separate note had a look on the DU thread..have you seen their financials looks an absolute car crash. They cannot afford anything other than to go up.
  10. Pivotal game. As others have mentioned they looked really poor on Friday and believe from reading on here their goal threat in Paton is out for this. DU likely to go top on Friday by beating ICT, especially after taking Wotherspoon from them. A win and a convincing performance needed.
  11. Dundee United looking really strong now that they’ve added Wotherspoon and Grieve. I don’t envisage them dropping too many points now between now and season close. 2nd would definitely be regarded as a good season but with summer recruitment it had to be top 4. There’s work to be done though as PT ain’t too far back and we’ve issues to be addressed. Still a very unsettled back 4, shoehorning defenders in there. Not adapted to the loss of Stanton as yet, KD injured and a loss of form from a few. Hopefully Murray and the board have got a couple of aces up their sleeve soon as we’re sitting watching the teams currently sitting in 2nd and 3rd do some tidy business.
  12. Read that O’Reilly never trained with the squad yesterday. More than Raith apparently looking to sign him which is understandable. Amazing that a short loan has made him go from being without a team with his previous in div 1 to multiple interested at a higher level. Post Pars match you’d have thought he’d be a stick on for signing an extension so I wonder if it’s Murray who maybe thinks he car get better. Who know but every day that passes whilst we have issues at the back if feels less chance of it happening.
  13. Think I’m just frustrated from Airdrie game. Long diagonals with no Hamilton on the pitch. Over run in midfield, won no second balls and ceding possession. Can only recall one shot on target and the 4 subs at the one time was poor. Really feel a couple of fresh recruits would help lift the levels again which have undoubtedly dropped.
  14. Fruitless exercise the 2 pages of tactics and formations with Murrayball at the helm. I just hope the penny drops that no Stanton mean we need to change it.
  15. Tickets for Livi available. Rovers website says we’re in the east stand..click the link and it’s only giving me options for the west?
  16. I think a proven double cup winning SPL manager who’s still young would be a great appointment. With Paton they’ve got the firepower to be causing us issues on Saturday. It was only their daft double sub at Hampden that meant we walked away with 3 points and not zero.
  17. Most likely. Was actually hoping since he got Keith Watson and Corr so wrong it would actually only be a couple of weeks and not the 6. Hopefully get an update this week but any signings aside he’s key to reversing this slump. Noticed QP are set to announce Callum Davidson as their new manager. Fantastic appointment if it comes to fruition and the last thing we need if he’s in before the weekend.
  18. I presumed Murray was seething. Might be an embarrassment factor too considering he’s not won a game vs his old club. 270 minutes vs Airdrie this season - 1 goal, limited chances and tactically inferior in all 3. Stanton now been out for 2 weeks already, an update on return would be great.
  19. The squad needs 2/3 bodies added and a freshen up. 1 win in 4 and prior to that it was a 95th minute winner vs Abroath and late come from behind wins vs Partick and ICT. Murrayball has been great but he simply has to change the formation when Stanton isn’t available. Easton needs at least a game on the bench (that’s is if he isn’t away). Last time Murray benched him he returned and bagged 2 away to Ayr. 100% effort from Smith but he’s dipped off in performance. Time for Connolly to get a run in the team.
  20. Andy Halliday been linked too (along with other clubs). Next two league games at home to QP and ICT and for me must win if we want to keep up a respectable challenge and also not a slip to 3rd being brought into the equation I now see why Murray wants a ‘pact winger’ as that was slow and pedestrian today. We’re going to lose games, that’s ok but what isn’t is creating absolutely nothing if note all game. 2 very winnable league games and 2 winnable cup games coming up..feels like a very important few weeks for us against the backdrop of a mini slump. Not really bothered about the Challenge cup so much however a win vs Livi and an attractive draw may allow for funds to be made available for a late January transfer.
  21. Abysmal from Rovers today. Powderpuff. 1 win in 4 against the team we own this season in Dunfermline. Thats twice now Connolly has came on as sub and looked like he might actually do something, needs to be given a start. Millen looked ok but he’s now out and Hamilton was at least a focal point after winning no second balls prior. Eastons form has dropped massively and kept slowing the game down for me. Callum Smith - jeez, shocker of a game. Zero complaints about the result and Murray again getting this one wrong.
  22. Agreed. Went long diagonal to small players..needs Hamilton on the pitch and us to up the tempo. Fair fucks Airdrie, pulling us apart at times but we’re making it easy. HAS to get better in the 2nd.
  23. Horrendous few days for Dunfermline. Beaten by their derby rivals at home (4th on the spin) Nationwide bad press for their section North West with a cowardly attack. Beaten by bottom of the league who’ve not won in 15 / since August. Injury crisis. They have McPake as a manager.
  24. I’m off. No chance I’m watching that 2nd half. Positive for me is Leanne Crichton…thinks she’s a class pundit and knows her stuff. In the modern world of Skys tokenism she would get a job on merit for me.
  25. I would like to retract my recent statements that Dunfermline will finish 4th this evening. This is taking the shine off beating them 4 on the spin. Rancid game of football. Why they’ve selected another Hampden game for TV is a a bizarre decision.
