  1. I really don’t get why McPake has such a strong backing from a majority of the Pars support. From the derby games and a few other times I’ve seen you on TV I think he looks tactically inept. An opinion backed up by the majority of the Dee fans. Falkirk showing like you guys did last season how woeful league 1 really is so it really shouldn’t be held up to any sort of achievement. Was delighted to see Otoo go off yesterday and that charlatan McCann come on. That was the easiest we’ve seen out a game all season, we’re known to shit the bed but your manager weakened the team whilst chasing. Utterly bizarre. On a positive, that team you had start the game is only 2/3 players from being decent. Dunfermline board should be doing everything to bring in Rhys McCabe.
  2. A lot of skirting around the bush here. Let me just say. Dunfermline..you are wash. 1 solitary goal in circa 470 minutes of football against us. We are your derby rivals..I do not care if you don’t think this is a big deal but to get routed FIVE times on the spin is a horrific shame on your club. If derbies don’t do it for you then fine…we all seen the vacant seats against Airdrie on Tuesday..that clearly doesn’t do it for you either. If League wan and Falkirk float your boat then that’s fine but please drop the big team rhetoric. Fellow Rovers fans will concur you’re the easiest team to play in this division. We’re not that good but by god you lot are fecking howlin. Could play all day and not score. Season 2023/24 the year Pars got pumped FIVE times on the spin.
  3. No issue to them being all massive and huge..wait…what’s that…they posted a 1 million pound loss. Smart move by the Rovers board to pump up the ticket prices imo, not sure they can afford to pay that bill.
  4. Hey Pars fans. If you want a gauge on how utterly toothless you are here’s something to think about. Everyone scores against us….you guys on the other hand have scored precisely 1 goal in over 450 minutes of football. Pretty unacceptable against your derby rivals I’m sure you will agree.
  5. Crack on fella. Typical wee team mentality I associate the pars with these days.
  6. Jeez, it’s like a wee school boys argument in here. Fair chance of a draw being the result here. Pars performances have improved and we can’t see out games. Ashcroft and Keith Watson being missing have been our downfall recently…hopefully the latter makes it today. Would be up for one of Murray’s random team selections / formations today. If it was me I’d go with both Hamilton and Rudden up top..that would be a nightmare for any CB pairing at this level.
  7. Didn’t see it but you’d feel the same I suppose seeing a midfielder playing in your position. The fact he never even got the diddy cup game against Airdrie was poor for me. Our poor form and leaking goals more than merited a chance.
  8. Agreed with the last few comments. Said it after the game that title winners don’t lose a game when winning 2-0 with 30 to play against the divisions lowest side who are in horrific form. Airdrie was another example last night of how you see out a 2 nil scoreline. Either Utd or us could’ve been 12 points clear and if one of the teams were to have put a proper run together recently. It’s 100% must win on Saturday otherwise we’d need to better United’s last 9 games by 2 wins, one of which would mean beating them away from home again. Whatever happens it’ll still be a good season but defeat against Abroath and them grinding out a 1 nil win looks like it might just about be done. Oddschecker prices to win the division - DU 2/7 RR 11/4 What’s the worst outcome? We play Championship football next season with Pars and Falkirk and another great opportunity to win the division with Livi replacing DU. I’m alright with that.
  9. ‘Pars in control of the game and creating chances’ Whit a slaver.
  10. Didnt catch that but one of them gets super excited every time Pars get into the Airdrie half. Im sure they’re lovely old boys but not an easy listen. Pitch is tattie field
  11. These commentators are woeful. They’d have you thinking Pars are ripping Airdrie apart if your aren’t watching.
  12. Couldn’t and haven’t been able to bring myself to read anything about last nights result. As gutting a feeling walking out of Gayfield since funnily enough the 2-2 game against Abroath at Starks. What a letdown for a big and noisy away following. First 60 minutes we were superb. Really enjoyed how ‘at it’ we were and how we pressed. First half was 1 nil going on 3 or 4. Once the second went in it was time to change it, some of the players were knackered. No coincidence our form has improved since Watson has came back in and went wrong when he went off. A team consisting of Brown, Byrne, Stanton and Matthews should really be able to see our games. Abroath are the clear league 1 looking side in the division. I fear the loss of Ashcroft and Watson will be our undoing this season. ps that KD howler was once of the worst things I’ve seen. How does someone at 6ft 8 plus the length of his arms not just punch that away. He actually took a step back . A great shot stopper but not very good with crossed balls. Will be a tougher test against the Pars with their improved form and I believe Bene back in. They’ll of course want to fully derail our title challenge. Dundee Utd keep opening the door for us but title winners don’t blow 2 goal leads with 30 to play against basement boys.
  13. You guys need to be seeing a line by line set of accounts as this does seem like a worrying number for 1 season. Headcount, salaries and expenses will be interesting. Lots of teams struggle to cut their cloth running a full time Championship operation, going league 1 is guaranteed losses but even still a big old number for the Pars. Must give some of you some reservations and a knot in your stomach regard this German mob. I jested before that they were ‘rinsing you from the inside’ hope that doesn’t turn out to be accurate. As ever communication is needed for supporters.
  14. Someone mentioned to me there’s roadworks / road closure in Abroath. Any info on that if accurate?
  15. I’d like to see Rudden and Hamilton start for this. Really interested to see how they’d play together although it would have to be at the expense of Vaughan. A few unknowns for us as well - Byrne, Murray.
  16. I think Imrie has shown he’s a good manager. That said his pre-match interview for this game is a bit strange. He’s a mixture of agitated, rattled and seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Theres got to be more to it than Vaughan buying a cheap penalty? He’s obviously not a fan of our social media but what’s the deal? I think it’s fair to say he’ll have his team bang up for this.
  17. For some reason I think we’ll give Morton a scudding. 3-0.
  18. Impressed with Rudden today. Scored, assisted and worked his socks off. Wasn’t excited by his signing but he’s defo a good player at this level. Turgid watch in the second half but absolutely take that away from home. Away atmosphere fantastic as per.
  19. Pars are lucky part-time Abroath are still in the division. Shocking at the back. Why didn’t they sign Ashcroft ?
  20. Pitch is poor. Makes me think about our plastic, no opposition teams seem to moan about it, never see dodgy bounces. Anyhow; Pars showing they’ve got something about them but they look poor at the back. If PT sort their shooting out this looks 3-1 to me.
  21. Pleased to see the 2 young lads get loaned out and get game time. With our squad size now and everyone being fit there’s not even room for them on the bench. Be interesting to see if there’s a 3rd loan move with Corr or if he’s kept as backup depending on Murray fitness. If he is loaned out I’d hope it be a L1 level as I think there’s a player there. Millen will not wear the Rovers shirt again imo. I’d imagine it’s going through internal disciplinary process just now.
