Win both and it’s 5 points ahead with 5 to play however with DU’s far superior goal difference it would be an effective 4 points. It’s not that hard to conceive the possibility that we get a scudding on Saturday. Our game in hand is Airdrie who we’ve collected an impressive one point from 9 plus the cup defeat. DU away this Sat Ayr home April 6th Airdrie home April 9th The likely league winner should be a lot clearer 9.30pm on the 9th. Still 4 games to go after that.

Whilst we’re still firmly second favourites to win the league I’ve just realised the perverse footballing gods could have something in store if we win. Dundee Utd vs Aberdeen playoff final and Goodwin returning to his former club. I know Sevco, Hearts, Hibs and DU have had spells in the Championship but there’s something wild about the thought of Dons playing Championship football to me.

It’s not even mid season though..it’s literally the run in! I do hope though as you say he gets a decent turnout. We just need to keep it going and keep the pressure on DU. Goodwin isn’t known for doing well in pressure situations so if they win the league we need to make them earn it. QP up next which will be another tough one but they all are at this stage. Agreed. Only interest I’ve got with them for remainder of the season is if they can grab any point against DU. Glad I went to the game last night. It wasn’t high on quality not helped by the pitch. Murray sets the team up differently away from home these days ie Utd away, Ayr recently and done the same at home on Saturday. With PT’s attacking threat I see him doing the same again and going defensive and hopefully using Hamilton as the out ball. Really like Rudden and his work ethic but he’s nowhere near Jacks ability to win flick ons and hold the ball up. Stanton was immense on Saturday, especially in the second half..he could be the difference in the run in. Murray just doesn’t drop Vaughan..think he’s only done it once this season.
