Don't be so defensive. It was a genuine question! Apart from Brechin, Dumbarton & Livingston, who's budget in the Championship was lower? QOTS? They've been fairly established in the Championship for a while though. I'm not defending or criticising Duffy or Morton as I haven't seen enough of them to comment but based of my perception of budgets I'd expect Dundee Utd, St Mirren, Falkirk and Dunfermline to all be stronger than them and jockeying for position with ICT and QOTS......which kind of leaves them around about the league position they finished in.

In terms of budget size, didn't Morton finish roughly where expected in the league this season? Didn't they also make the QF of the League Cup?

How do you define "class"? By some definitions I was from a working class family (Mum was a nurse/midwife, Dad was a mechanic) but thanks to their hard work and them investing in my future (as well as doing so myself), I have enjoyed middle class earnings for the best part of 20 years. I don't particularly class myself as either to be honest.

I wouldn't say Celtic need them to survive as they're a well run Club unfortunately but they definitely need them to thrive. Like it or not football is historically built on local rivalries. The "same Club" myth suits the Celtic Board as much as it does the Rangers* Board and fans.
