  1. And now visiting teams get to compete on a level playing field
  2. The Gorgie Road end toilets were nothing compared to the horror of the ones under the School End you can just see the entrance in the middle of the uncovered section. Luckily I was usually in the corner and there were urinals of reasonable quality in the open air behind the corner. Terracing meant that you could watch the game surrounded by the kind of people you wanted to. An extreme example was towards the back of the School end, near enough to the roof to shuffle in if it rained, where there was a small Gaelic speaking enclave
  3. I've not really been following this story all that closely. But given were liable to be in direct competition next year I figure I should take a bit more of an interest. Who does this incarnation of Rangers owe it's money to?
  4. The Physiotherapy is seriously paying off. I completed 10km last night for the first time since I injured myself in 2008. Feeling sore today but it's more like the general soreness that you expect after a big run as opposed to aggregating the old injury. My time was a good deal slower than I was back then but I don't care about that right now
  5. 'Luisa, who has a four-year-old daughter, confessed: “I’m known for having sex."' The 4 year old Daughter is a bit of a giveaway to be fair
  6. Port article in Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2013/nov/20/port-best-buys-christmas
  7. A quick google shows that most Supermarkets have one brand or another of 10 year old Tawny for either side of £20. Younger ones will be more affordable
  8. The Co-op have Taylor's reserve at half price £7 instead of £14. That is a good deal. If you're not Skint and her parents have sophisticated tastes, or you want them to think that you think they do then go for a Tawny port instead of ruby. Even cheap port is still generally decent so you can't go too far wrong.
  9. Have you tried sitting slightly closer, or slightly further away?
  10. http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/local-news/read-full-text-nelson-mandelas-6379415
  11. Probably http://www.londonhearts.com/scores/res/0-7.html
  12. You still are and it's quite a decent bar in it's own right even if you're not going to a film
  13. Netherlands 149 for 2 (Barresi 75*, Cooper 40) beat Scotland 147 for 6 (Machan 61, Leask 58) by eight wickets With 13 balls to spare
  14. Scotland stand on the brink of Qualification! Italy were beaten with 2.3 overs and 7 wickets to spare and now only the Netherlands stand in their way. It's about to start in Abu Dhabi Scotland won the toss and bat first
  15. ** Warning ** Crap Pun Ahead ** Warning** Maybe their was gigantic Cockney in the upper tier And he dropped it
  16. Whether that's the appropriate interpretation or not. The first time I saw it was on the "Green Brigade embarrass Celtic again" Where one of the last things BT did before getting banned was this http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php/topic/199849-green-brigade-embarrass-celtic-again/page-51#entry7924953 Whether that post accurately reflects the collective mindset of the people who displayed the banner is open to question but it seems a reasonable hypothesis to adopt in the absence of anything less ridiculous. EDIT: The GB are, of course, a thoroughly ridiculous bunch so there may be something even wierder going on. Maybe the other part of the corries banner got left on the bus and the H is part of a seperate project where they're going to spell "HOOPS ARE MAGIC" out over the course of fifteen games.
  17. Ireland destroyed HK and go through to the finals along with Afghanistan as group winners. They've got semi finals to come but even the losers of the 3rd/4th place playoff qualifies as the top 6 go through. Scotland on the other hand need to beat Italy to avoid the 9th/10th play off and then beat the loser of UAE vs Netherlands to qualify for the 5th/6th play off and in doing so get to the World cup. If they'd scored 1066 runs instead of 1065 they'd be one match away from qualification
  18. Your boys finish with a top of the table clash with hong Kong The winner will be straight through to the World Cup. The loser will be into the playoff system. Scotland need to beat a poor Denmark side to make the playoffs and even then it won't be on as good terms as the losers of Hong Kong vs Ireland
  19. Result! Scotland set a reasonable target of 165/4 The oranjemen drew up short with only 150/6 in reply. Majid Haq took 3 wickets, conceding only 20 runs in his 4 Overs Matt Machan got 67 not out from 46 balls
