It's understandable if you were that into Tiesto when he used to play trance. I think his 'EDM' stuff is decent enough for what it is. Not a patch on 'Elements of Life' or his early 'In Search of Sunrise' albums though. I'd be equally seething, but I was always more into Armin and A&B and their styles remain relatively unchanged.

Will be available until Saturday on BBC iPlayer and is easy to find on Soundcloud. Appreciate what you're saying, but I don't think this mix was necessarily him cashing in on the next trend. At the start of the show he said it was just a mix of his favourite chill out tunes of the moment. Wouldn't imagine he drops any of them in his sets.

Anyone catch Radio 1's Essential Mix last weekend? It was Tiesto playing two hours of his favourite deep house tracks. Not something I ever thought I'd hear, but a cracking set nonetheless. These were my highlights:

Won't be making it and in a way I'm glad. Don't think I'd be able to choose between the two stages. A classic Corsten set would be quality and, although I've seen him 4 times, it's never been at the Arches. The third arch is a cracking lineup IMO. Saw Benny Benassi there two years back and he was excellent. D-Wayne warmed up for Afrojack in Ibiza this summer and was far better. MakJ's recent releases have been brilliant and Blasterjaxx will blow the roof off the place.

Quality yearmixes from Hardwell, Nicky Romero and DV &LM. But I listened to Laidback Luke the other night and his blows them all out the water IMO. Utter scenes throughout.

I was loving that drop after he uses the sample from 'Push The Tempo'. Need to find out which tune it was.Smash The House Radio (Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike) and CR2 Live & Direct (MYNC) are two others I usually listen to. Quality lineup. Len Faki's remix of 'Stranger To Stability' is still one of my favourite tunes to blast in the gym. Would be unreal to hear it live.

Last week's episode of Hardwell On Air was up there with the best I've heard. No soft tunes on it. Nicky Romero's 2013 Yearmix is also worth a listen.

I'm waiting on a late license for my business and the council are dragging their heels. They told us on the Monday before New Year it was a formality and now, 7 working days later, we're still chasing for it. Just get it done FFS.

Aye, a little splash of sauce isn't going to hurt. I usually go for something spicy as a little drop goes a long way. There definitely needs to be a balance between eating clean and actually enjoying your food. If I get bored of a diet, I lose the motivation to stick to it.
