  1. Any games on grass surviving the weather today?
  2. So, would I be correct in presuming that there are no food facilities at Kilsyth? Need to leave earlier to suss out local options pre match
  3. Hardly problems. My point is that , despite our poor start we are collecting points and now scoring goals and without a settled team yet due to so many injuries.
  4. Lanark continue to progress since new management team started. 22 points in 9 games, scoring 18 and conceding 8 in that time. Only Kello have scored fewer goals than us so far but, we only scored 4 in our first 5 matches. However, we've conceded only 20 in total. Beat Dalry 2-0 without both our first choice CB's yesterday. We should have won by more. Both keepers had some excellent saves. Dalry had a man and a manager sent off near the end. Their big number 5 needs to keep working at the acting classes, cause they are not working!
  5. Very good set up down there.., including the pies and sausage rolls!
  6. Any idea how the games postponed in this competition yesterday get rescheduled? For example will they be slotted in next week, given we already have fixtures through to the end of February?
  7. We've only had 2 home games in the past 3 months, and one of those was in the cup. Not at all good for the finances.
  8. Shock of the day has to be top of the table Bellshill drawing at bottom of the table Kello who won only their 6th point of the season. Vale of Leven and Threave in good form. Only Kello have scored fewer goals than Lanark Lots of twists and turns in the coming months
  9. It would be good to know what games are on to give us a Plan B, albeit with late notice
  10. VoC v Forth is off. RA v Lanark is currently on but final decision awaited
  11. Just like we'd prefer a few more in the goals for column. Never happy.
  12. Go to a Gow game to see the goals go in. 72 in 13 matches is great value for money
  13. By my calculations Lanark have won 19 points from 24 in the 8 games that the new management team have been in charge, scoring 16 and conceding 8 goals in the process. Won 6, lost 1 and drawn 1 In the previous 5 games before they took over we won 2 points in 5 games, scoring 4 and losing 12 goals. We are on the right track , despite an horrendous injury list. Won 1-2 at Girvan today. Nothing between the 2 teams IMO. Other than the goals we crashed the bar with a thundering header and their keeper made an excellent stop from the rebound. Girvan had a first half chance that should have been tucked away. Chucky Watt did what Chucky Watt does. The pie was good and the sausage roll was excellent.
  14. Although in the cup, a significant away win for Lanark today at Bellshill. We were a completely different team when they beat us in Lanark in the summer. Long way to go.
  15. 2 signings in as many weeks from St Rochs for Lanark to strengthen our squad as we continue to suffer from an horrendous injury list.
  16. Lanark pumped 6-0. Absolutely nothing between the teams up to 30 mins, indeed we'd hit the post and their keeper had an excellent save. We were 3 down 7 minutes later and 4 down by ht. Game over. We weren't in it 2nd half. They scored a couple of very nice goals and were generally that bit sharper and tighter than us.
  17. Lanark 2 Pt Glw 0 10 out injured probably helps explain why we made such hard work of today. We didn't play well but did hit the bar, when we should have scored, and pulled 3 excellent saves from their keeper. I don't recall our keeper having a save to make. Took a late ( stonewall) penalty to seal the points following a 43rd minute opener. We are rising up the table but will need to take more of the chances we are creating. Only 2 teams have scored fewer goals than us in the division so far.
  18. Trust VoC number 9 got a yellow at the end?
  19. Great trip down to Kello and the steak pie is right up there as the best pie to have at the games. Big Kello keeper is a character. Cannot believe that ref, get the wee fella's chased..
  20. Threave 3 Lanark 2 We can have no complaints. We had our chances and didn't take them, particularly after such a bright start and going 1 up. Equaliser was a clear penalty for handball but cross should never have been allowed to get into the box. Threave keeper has a great save 20 seconds into the 2nd half but we go 2-1 down inside 50 seconds ( great strike). We lose a third from our poorly taken corner and then claw one back through Chucky Watt who was offside. We missed an excellent chance to equalise on 90 minutes but our cause wasn't helped by Scott Nicol getting himself sent off on 75 mins. Dafty of the day was the Threave number 9 for getting sent off seconds from the full time whistle. Threave very well organised and played out from the back throughout. Great set up, lovely people and I can confirm that the pre match pie AND sausage roll was £3.50 very well spent.
  21. Well, I got my wish of not wanting to play opposition or grounds we are familiar with. Cowdenbeath away. Excellent.
  22. Since new management arrived at Lanark we've had 3 wins and 1 draw in the league, beaten 3 teams from higher divisions in the cup, with 1 loss to Craigmark. Defence tightened up considerably and wee Chucky Watt back amongst the goals and getting fitter. Big improvement from first 5 games when we took 2 points and conceded 12 goals. Very much looking forward to a new experience at Threave on Saturday.
  23. Lanark got Belshill away. Hate being drawn against a team from the same division.
