  1. Lanark 2 Neilston 1 Our 3rd victory against higher league opposition this season. Still struggling with above average number of injuries and so can't field anywhere near like a settled team.
  2. Another good result for Lanark against a higher division team, despite our horrendous injury list.
  3. 2 ex Lanark lads very prominent in this victory. Great to see them doing well. Both good lads.
  4. Finnart off? Thought they played on plastic?
  5. I learnt my lesson and got in early, upon arrival. I messaged my mates to get a shift on and they too missed out. Truly great pie and great value too
  6. Hate having to go to set ups like that to see my team. Pity they couldn't ground share with their neighbours
  7. That pitch will have been heavy in those conditions and difficult to play football on. That didn't look like the normal big keeper for Kello. Did you have one of their steak pies? Wonderful fare.
  8. Lanark 1 Finnart 1 Poor two points to drop today. Keeper error in first half saw us go 1 down very much against the run of play. Once again 2nd half substitutions made a difference although it was a CB who bundled our goal in. Finnart keeper had two excellent saves near the end to save the point for them.
  9. Daft sending off by the Ardeer lad which could have cost his team.
  10. Unlike last season with VoC and AWR, there is no stand out team in this division, despite Bellshill's very good start to the season. I see lots of team's taking points from each other therefore too early to predict who will go up, IMO. Lanark are quite literally a different team to the one that started the season so poorly, for example , and will have an influence on the promotion places.
  11. Only Kello have scored fewer goals than Lanark so far this season. 10 in 8 games. Missed 5 excellent chances today, 2 absolute sitters. Something we have to rectify if we are to continue to climb the table and challenge for promotion.
  12. We were surprised when the corner was given and I don't think we even appealed for it.
  13. Gow 0 Lanark 1 Well deserved derby win. Should have been by a much bigger margin. Missed 4 excellent first half chances, incl 1 absolute sitter and then another sitter right at the death by our brand new striker Chris Kelly who could have had a debut to remember. Lanark had a player sent off on 50 minutes but this was evened up 8 minutes later when Schonville got a straight red for deliberate handball so the advantage was quickly lost. Lanark badly affected by injuries and Bank Holiday absences ( like many no doubt) but good to see the lad Bulloch back from injury, who played so well on his first and only appearance for Lanark.
  14. Gow 0 Lanark 1 Well deserved derby win
  15. Always enjoy watching games at this venue. Hope it is on with all this rain
  16. Not on plastic is the main thing. Like visiting Maryhill so that is a bonus. Would still have preferred a team we hadn't played like Hawick away.
  17. Cambuslang are 2 divisions above Lanark so would suggest our win warrants a mention.
  18. Lanark 2 Cambuslang 1 Well deserved victory, albeit through two late goals. Our substitutions made a big difference. Chucky Watt comes on to equalise and then provide an assist. Lang CB's and their keeper made it very difficult for us. Huge injury list at Lanark. Thank goodness we have acquired such a large squad in recent weeks.
  19. Royal Albert at top of the table St Peters.
  20. Result of the day has to be RA's away win at top of the table St Peter's. What happened there? Lost 38 goals in previous 7 games? Was Gareth Hallford playing in goal, as well as managing the team?
  21. Kello 2 Lanark 4 Well deserved victory which we made hard work of and only settled in the final seconds. Gk, both CB's, Jack Currie, Kieran Brannan all out injured (those that I know of) and Fraser Allan on holiday, added to the midweek departure of Cammy Marshall saw a much changed Lanark team which included the manager on the bench. Came on as a 2nd half sub alongside Jordan Fraser and both had an impact. The Kello keeper, Dunsy, has to be one of the best around. He is a unit. Consistently good. Just a pity his kicking isn't so good. Made a number of excellent saves today. The Kello steak pie gets my award of the day however. I can't believe there is a better pie in the Juniors. A bargain at £2.50. I'll admit to having a mince pie too.
  22. Returned from holiday to learn that Cammy Marshall has left Lanark, at his own request. This is very disappointing news as he has been our top player over that past season and is a great prospect. Understand he may have pitched up at Cumbernauld. Definitely taken the shine off us re-signing Kieran Brennan and Scott Nicol from Wishaw.
  23. John Cunningham, Ryan Whitley, Colin Leverage and Reece Clark have also been released. Believe JC has signed for Cumbernauld where they will get a grafter up front. He put in a shift for us this season prior to the changes. Ryan will be best remembered as a guy who converted to CB from midfield but coming on as an injured sub in goal and saving a penalty to enable us to hold on at Dairy last season.
