  1. I'd rather be nearly men than nowhere-fucking-near men. Lots of lessons need learning from this season, but I'm sure we will. Obviously a few big disappointments, but for us to be sitting where we are, with what we've come through and what we've achieved, and be feeling disappointed is a sign of how far we've come and the potential in the team. Swapping Hearts for Hamilton makes the league stronger, and I think Killie will keep Dundee down, so we need to improve again next season if we're to match what we've achieved this year.
  2. Per today's lineup, Durmus and JDH almost certainly played their last games for us, then. I hope Durmus is remembered for the amazing contribution he's made. Has genuinely been a revelation for us.
  3. Joking aside, I think it's just a 3-5-2 with Tait and Fraser playing narrow, and Henderson at lwb.
  4. Ah, the 1-7-2 formation we've all been itching to see.
  5. Keeps you busy, at least, posting on all those teams' threads as much as you do on ours.
  6. Mine was for Viagra, it claims it will help you stay up but in this instance that's definitely wrong. You hoping to get a rise out of someone with that?
  7. Big interest in this one, I see. Perms: If Well lose, either team here can take 7th with a win; a draw would be good enough for Saints. If Well draw, St Mirren would need a win; United would need a heavy win. If Well win, we're playing for eighth, in which case United need to win, a draw is enough for Saints. And that's about it. Now I've explained how league tables work, we can crack on with discussing the game. I actually think we'll play our strongest possible team. We switched things round a bit in midweek, but I can't see us just playing a load of kids for the sake of it. Henderson is young but in the team on merit; it now seems Dylan Reid made his debut against Rangers just to get that Premiership youngest player record as he's not had a sniff since. So yeah, we'll be going for it - whether that's actually apparent in our performance remains to be seen.
  8. Not sure it would have changed anything last night, but having him available for the weekend is obviously huge for you.
  9. Made a mental note to reply to this. Though, disclaimer, I was holding the baby and watching on an illegal stream on my phone, so it's not conducive to detail player analysis... but I thought he looked tidy enough. I'd say he wasn't the full Flynn - perhaps lacking sharpness, but he did what we all know he can do - protect the ball, move it along quickly and efficiently, help us keep ticking over. It did leave me wondering if he could have played a role at the weekend. I'd honestly like to see him given another year, but wouldn't surprise me if a top-end Champ side offered him two years and I certainly wouldn't blame him for taking it. The flip side of that is whether we could use his wage towards a guaranteed, experienced midfield starter, in which case you'd probably wish him all the best.
  10. I think our two recent games pretty much sum up this point. Still, 12 goals, divided equally is fucking great entertainment. Pinnock is decent, I like him. I see he's OOC - reckon he'll stay?
  11. Yeah, there's an inevitability about that. They're well suited, IMO.
  12. Thankfully there is only a few of these useless c@nts under contract for next season. Assuming you stay up, which I believe you will, there is going to be some amount of transfer action in the top flight next season. I'd imagine Hearts, Celtic, Aberdeen, Killie & Motherwell, and potentially United, will all be very active. We are apparently looking at about 6 in/6 out, and I think we'll be among the quieter teams.
  13. KL's twattery aside, both he and Burke were excellent, I thought. That's slightly dismissive. If he was that poor, he wouldn't be scoring so many goals for a struggling team. Not many strikers this season have given our defence as hard a game as they had last night.
  14. That weird thing he was doing when he was nuzzling his head into the back of JDH's head to wind him up was, while probably not worthy of a yellow, definitely massive shithousery too. He was trying to fight everyone at the end of the first half. He's an odd guy.
  15. Just realised I'd stuck a tenner on Killie to win and removed it from my head because I assumed I'd lost it. Bet365 paid out early when the score went to 2-0
  16. Well, yeah. Just goes to show that being a decent player and being a c**t aren't mutually exclusive. You can see how he rallies Killie and there's no doubt he's kept them up. I had the fear every time balls were coming into the box yesterday. Lafferty aside, their deliveries were much better than ours. Connolly did eventually decide to do that impression of a footballer he sometimes does, though, and we finally got some deliveries into the box. Imagine if he was like that all the time.
  17. Imagine if we played the whole of every game like we end up playing the last 20 minutes of every game. We'd be fucking immense.
  18. What a fucking game Imagine not liking football. That was absolutely batshit.
  19. We need to make a point of introducing our strikers to each other before future games.
