You can see how United are trying to play but none of the runs/balls forward for the strikers are coming off at all and Hibs look very comfortable dealing with it. How Paul McGinn got away with not being booked for the shithousery for that throw in is a mystery, mind.

Can't imagine Brophy getting more than a token appearance towards the end, tbh. Possibly if we're chasing the game. He really has hardly kicked a ball for us this season. Obika, Dennis and Brophy all lacking fitness/sharpness, means the Shaughnessy/Erwin dream combo is about to become a reality.

I nearly mentioned him but couldn't think of his name. Sure he had a decent physical presence and there was loads of clamour for him to get more game time.

It's been a painfully/embarrassingly long time since we produced a striker of note. Seriously, we're talking Barry Lavety. (I'm not accepting Steven McGarry as he really was much better in a deeper role.) From that point of view alone I'd love to see Jamieson be given a shot.

I genuinely felt sorry for you in wining the LC without getting to see it in person. Obviously I'd take winning over not winning it every time, but I'd imagine it was a bit bittersweet. Being present for our two cup wins in my lifetime rank among the greatest days of my life. There ought to be genuine will to find a way to get fans into this final, if not the semi finals, and it should absolutely be feasible to make it happen but it's clearly the soft/easy option not to bother.
