  1. I don't see that as in any way offensive, tbh. You've got to fancy yourselves with the general form you're in this season. It remains to be seen if our draws are going to save us or kills us. Six from the last 12 if you chuck in the cup games. If we'd got off to a better start in the league then we probably could 1-1 ourselves to safety. Sadly, we didn't...
  2. Prior to the window, we had no defenders. We did some sensible business early in January... And now we've still got no defenders. To lose one right back is unfortunate, to lose two is careless. We've lost three in the space of two weeks. Can't see past a Livi win here, even though we do seem determined to draw every single game we play from now till April.
  3. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if we went down that kind of route. Even though he's not in the position we need, there might be a solution there somewhere.
  4. Honestly I'd take Stelios on a deal to the end of the season. He loves the club, will work his bollocks off, the fans love him, and if that's preferable to chucking in (and possibly wrecking the confidence of) an untried youngster then maybe it's not a bad shout. Honestly don't know where else we'd turn at the moment. I suggested turning Danny Mullen into a fullback on BAWA and the more I think about it, the more it seems to make sense
  5. Fair play, cheers for clarifying. We are completely fucked at the back now. Cammy has become a first-choice midfielder, and he's really not a great fullback. I hope we don't shift him back there... And based on other injuries, it'll only create a problem in midfield anyway. We've had a few seasons where we've been relatively fortune with injuries. I know Magennis and Mullen were out last season, but the promotion year we ran with a fairly thin squad and it all went well. This season is just horrendous and I'm honestly not sure how we're going to put full teams out. We've admittedly had some uncommonly good fortune with out-of-contract players in the recent past: Ferdinand, Hammill and Simeon Jackson all played a role last season. Odds of repeating that trick with an RB now?
  6. Probably fair criticism. The ACL is an odd one: it's actually possible to do it and not feel like you've had a bad injury. However, I'd suggest that based on Flynn's reaction when he was on the turf, they should not have been letting him walk anywhere.
  7. Feelings are running high because our best player and a fan favourite has incurred an ACL injury after he was scythed down by an Accies player who made precisely zero attempt to play the ball. As it happens, I think it was a yellow card, but seriously, this probably isn't the time to double down on completely wide-of-the-mark racism accusations.
  8. Genuinely concerned after last night. Jim has us well organised but they were surprisingly shitebag tactics last night and I think Morias was hung out to dry. The 'big hope' new striker wasn't even on the bench, indicating his fitness is some way short. If at least one of our six strikers can't start scoring soon then I suspect we are fucked.
  9. You can get 10/11 on Accies double chance win/draw. Crazy odds, tbh. Very tempting for the pessimistic traitor bet fan looking to double their money...
  10. Not sure we have any options. I don't think I'd push Andreu wide either. Or did you mean McGrath wide right? Sorry.
  11. I think Obika might be rested for this one and Chabbi stuck in from the start, if only because he's a complete unknown quantity. I did think for a while that he might try to pair them up top together, but Jim really doesn't seem fussed on a proper 4-4-2. Shame we don't have more than two working centre halves, as maybe a 3-5-2 would be a good way to get all out best players on the park in their correct positions, including McGrath at the point of the middle three, if he was match fit. So, I predict: ----------- Hladky --------- Flynn - McCarthy - Famewo - Waters ---- MacPherson - Foley ---------- ----Morias - Andreu - Durmus------ -------------- Chabbi ---------------- Including Andreu there for the Score Against Your Old Team Inevitability Bonus Multiplier.
  12. Very true, but sometimes these things occur to you and you have to jump on the opportunity.
  13. We all said the same when it was Scott Brown, to be fair, and that predictably led to absolutely fucking nothing being done. Cheating p***k 100% knew what he was doing, and 100% knew he'd get away with it. Still, he's a character, eh? Image spoilered cos it's fucking massive.
  14. Winning this would be a very Acciesy thing to do. Losing this would be very St Mirreny.
  15. FFS. Two topics posted at the same time - mods, just shitcan this one, please.
  16. And relax. Hate rooting for either of the arse cheeks but needs must.
  17. Hes gone to play in their under 23s which is even weirder I guess they see him as one for the future. They can suss him out, risk-free, over the rest of the season. If they like him, we'll sell him for £200k (probably). If they don't like him, we have him on contract for next season and he might come back a better player.
