  1. Peter Urminsky (gk) signed for St Mirren. Straight into the side for a reserve game today, but coaching staff have said he's very raw so it's up to Langfield to make a keeper of him, by the sound of it. "One for the future." Going out on loan to a bottom half championship side in the summer, nap*.
  2. Fair play, cheers. I remember there being a bit of pointing and laughing on here when you signed him, which quickly stopped when he started banging them in
  3. Did he not start on fire for you last season then kinda tail off? What was that put down to? I'd be quite happy to get him in. We clearly need something different up top and at least he knows the game here so would take less time to settle in than a lot of other possible options. Edit: that said, he has only played six games this season so will be rusty.
  4. Yep, I still feel sick just thinking about those games.
  5. St Mirren will be fine sadly. I'm honestly not sure at the moment. Assuming McGinn goes to Hibs (because why wouldn't he?) we need more players in this week than previously thought. We could theoretically 0-0 our way to 35 points, but it might not be enough Also, feel free to bookmark/quote this when we get pumped rotten by Caley, but I'm not seeing anything below Dundee United to worry about in the Championship. I certainly can't imagine any of the current Prem sides being pushed as close as an abject Saints were by a fairly decent United side last season.
  6. Predictably enough he's doubled down and claimed people have missed the point. Actual scum.
  7. Can't blame McGinn for getting a wage bump for himself at a relatively late stage in his career. Considering he's always been a bit of a journeyman full back, to get a gig at Hibs is decent for him. The only issue is they'll probably give him an 18 month deal, and surely they'll be strengthening that position in the summer, so he could end up out of favour then.
  8. Have we ever played him in midfield? Genuine question, though I suspect the answer is no. We'd never given Cammy a run of games in the middle either until recently and he looks great. Surely we can't write the boy off until he's been given a chance. Side note: did anyone see Stelios has just signed for some absolute jobbers in the fucking Vanarama league. I'm not saying we should sign him, but Christ, I thought he was better than that.
  9. I wish my wife fucked me like Aberdeen have fucked St Johnstone.
  10. Matty Kennedy leaves St Johnstone. Surely you'll have to bring someone else in now?
  11. Don't worry: it was, very much, a dry dig at 1986.
  12. My hope is that they're going to find themselves just needing a result against Dundee. I'm not sure if there's any historical precedent for that.
  13. Seems unfair on Hearts that all their upcoming fixtures are against teams above them in the league.
  14. Can't see ewe scoring three, tbh, even if we do have to wether some pressure at some point.
  15. Gerrard has said nice things about us in the pre-match presser including what is, I believe, the longest and most convoluted euphemism for 'they parked the fucking bus and are going to do it again' that I've ever read.
  16. Fair point. I was sure we were linked with him in the summer so perhaps they've just tacked our name on to pad out the copy.
  17. Remarkably touchy response, tbh. I didn't say it was your rumour, I was merely expanding on your assertion about his goalscoring record with some more recent specifics. The 'comedy' club thing was, I'd hoped, an obvious joke at Morton's expense. I'm fully sympathetic to his mental health issues - I have had them myself - but the stats - which again, for emphasis is all you referred to and all I responded with - haven't been great for the past few years.
  18. He's scored five in 21 this season; three of which came against comedy outfits Cove Rangers and... *checks notes*... Greenock Morton. Last season he scored one in 18 at this level, and Hamilton let him go. The previous season he scored four in 21 in a Dundee United side that we comfortably beat to the Championship title, and they let him go. The season before he scored 8 in 30 for a Hibs team that scooshed the Championship, and they let him go. I'd politely suggest he might be almost finished and certainly wouldn't improve what we already have.
  19. I've never seen him much, tbh. Weren't we linked with him in the summer, too? My genuine preference at this stage is to stick with what we've got as I think we have enough to stay up. Save the dosh for the summer and/or PCAs.
  20. As much as I love them both, and still want to see Cooke given another year, if they both went so we could bring in one incredible striker, then I'd be happy with that. A team that plays one up front doesn't need four strikers, and McGrath has clearly been brought in as a potential 'number 10' type, so we've got quite a few options now.
