  1. It would hold no value any more for Coleraine and you'd hope they'd let us off it from that point of view. We'd be fielding a scratch team that wasn't trying, and now we'd be sending no fans as they've (finally, on the QT) been advised to cancel their tickets (only getting a 50% refund from the ferry in the process). Previously the match might have held significance if OK was going back to see his former side, but now, as a returning hero, they'd only be going to see him, and it makes no difference who they'd be playing. But yeah, imagine the scenes if we're made to play it
  2. Some seem set against him. Can't understand it myself: my main question would be if not him, then who?
  3. S'funny, even at the time the Goodwin/Dundee thing broke down, there were rumours that the reason may have been that our job was coming up. Sure, they got to save face by claiming it had something to do with the DoF structure, or Jimmy Nicholl, or whatever, but it still seemed odd. That, and the fact the uncertainty over Kearney never fully went away, makes me wonder how much of an open secret this has all been all this time.
  4. Yeah, my thoughts too. I like him a lot and I did want him to stay as he felt like a good fit, but I don't feel like I did last summer when Ross went.
  5. I'm also interested to see who you'll get, given where they'll inevitably be working in a couple of years' time. In all seriousness, if we do pinch Jim, I will feel a lot of sympathy. Especially given the stage of pre-season we're at.
  6. Squirrelhumper, tomorrow, after he discovers the wonders of the internet:
  7. We may technically still owe them the friendly, then, whether he stays or not.
  8. I think it's reasonable for fans to want to hang on to managers they like: Ross, Kearney; and to hound out clueless fuckers such as Rae, Craig, Stubbs and Murray. It's eradicating the reasons for the upheaval - by and large, poor recruitment choices - that surely most fans want.
  9. This is true! If we had actual stability we'd be going off our tits with boredom. We'd become boring fuckers ourselves. It's been a few years since we weren't a complete basket case of a club.
  10. Picking up surprisingly decent out-of-contract players after the window has shut is the hipster's choice.
  11. Yeah, but we can't announce the signings because Jimbo's the only one with the Twitter logins.
  12. That was my concern when I heard that about his decision re Dundee. Overall, though: FFS. Can't believe this is happening again.
  13. He did enough to make fans realise he's worth getting behind, too, so he should get plenty support. We're well stocked for midfielders - I'm very happy with McGinn, Magennis, Flynn and Tansey, with Erhahon hopefully getting a chance in there as well.
  14. I'm a tightarse so don't get it Cheers, though - will keep an eye out for reports.
  15. I can't see it being McAllister just yet, unless he knows he's got nae chance at Derby at the moment. Just seems very early in the summer for a loan deal - unless he's really pushing for it himself.
  16. I quite like it, it's just the price that gets me. Daft money for the kids' strips, tbh.
