  1. It's an odd one - the only away supports big enough are the OF, but when they're in town, lots of home supporters opt to stay away, for understandable reasons. I really thought we might be getting close with you and us at the right end of the table (ish) this season, but obviously not many Ton fans fancy seeing Guard of Honour Day on the 21st.
  2. Yeah, 10 days away. How far ahead would you normally have them? I wonder if we are considering some segregation of the away end?
  3. Home end is now a complete sell out for our game (as you'd fucking well hope). I reckon you'll beat Queens quite comfortably at the weekend, leaving you guys with a lot to play for still. We've got two pops at getting a point - from Livi and Falkirk, both at home - before we play you. Just wondering what sort of a crowd you'll bring through - presumably a bigger one if we've somehow conspired to lose our next two games, and a smaller crowd if we're lining up a presentation on the 21st.
  4. The sentence "Morton should bounce straight back to the Premier limelight" hasn't aged well, tbh.
  5. Who Morton fans hate, in order: 1) Themselves 2) Each other 3) Everyone else
  6. So, do some factions of the Morton support not get on well with others? What's the story there, then?
  7. Charlton, too. Basically, the top English press guys know his name now, so he's an easy one to throw into the mix. It was John Cross, the chief football writer at the Mirror, who was tweeting/writing about him yesterday. There won't be any shortage of links now. Did describe Ross as one one of Britain's brightest young managers. It's probably only a matter of time: I'm just delighted he stayed to the end of this season, at least. Anything beyond this is a bonus, IMO.
  8. Our game at home to the soapless & hopeless is now, apparently, a complete sell-out, in the home end, at least. That guard of honour is looking like a massive crowd puller.
  9. If you get a point at Livi, you could help us win the title. It's the least you can do after you relegated us at Cappielow last year.
  10. Anyone heard anything about Lee Kilday possibly joining Airdrie on loan?
  11. A picture of Michael Portillo, taken the last time Morton were in the top flight:
  12. Saints fans should be granted double daily green dots for the run-in. I feel like there's going to be a lot of love to give. Get on it, @Div
  13. I'm wondering if postponing the Falkirk game was a bit of a masterstroke. They were/are looking decent again and a slip against them could have knocked momentum. Wouldn't surprise me if we had the game moved the first time knowing full well the U-21s game would see it knocked back again. Not saying we're running scared of Falkirk, but the whole show could be over by the time we actually play them now. Imagine having the title confirmed having only played a team twice - and that being the shit pre-January version
  14. Jack has done very well to keep the squad competitive: we've got very healthy competition for places that is giving us an edge. Crazy that the likes of Gary Mac, Stelios, McShane, Hippolyte, and even Gavin Reilly, aren't automatic starters at the moment. Any let up from the first XI will see people happy to drop in - and more than capable of doing so. Also, even beyond the management team, we've got the best captain in the division by some distance. The abiding image of this season will, for me, be McGinn bollocking everyone around him after a lacklustre opening five minutes at EEP. No doubt whatsoever what was expected of everyone on the park that night.
  15. For some reason, when following the race for second place, I'm reminded of those episodes of Gladiators when both contestants' legs were gone and they kept trying to get up the travelator but kept fucking it up.
  16. I think I know what you're saying, but we did have single-goal defeats to the Arabs and Dumbarton, too.
  17. No need to add 'imo' to that second list - I can't see any of them being kept on. Duffy will probably stop at Airdrie or similar - I think even the Championship is beyond him now. I've added the ages to that first list: Stewart (23 next month), Whyte (21), O'Keefe (19), Flanagan (20), Horne (19). They are all arguably young enough to be given a chance still, I guess.
  18. This is true. Those nagging Sevco rumours persist - but you'd imagine they'd go for Clark first if they decide they need to twist this summer. If we're losing Ross, I reckon it'll be to England. 100% agree with this. We're a very small team and definitely need a true spoiler in midfield and probably a bigger guy at the back, too.
