  1. Long enough for Thierry Small to get booked at least three, if not four times.
  2. I lost a fair bit on Baccus to get booked at the back end of the season; he calmed right down and only got booked once in the last 10 games. But now I've typed that out, he's a dead cert.
  3. I've gone Hibs to win, btts, Youan any time, Gogic to get booked.
  4. I was pretty close. The 3-5-2 does make sense at Easter Road.
  5. So glad proper football is back. Tough to call our line-up today: already dictated by injuries to an extent. While we're clearly shaping up for a 3-4-3, I do wonder if he'll go for the extra midfielder as we're away to a strong side. So I'm going with this: -------Fraser - Gogic - Taylor -------- Strain - O'Hara - Baccus - CBM - Tanser --------Mandron - McMenamin --- Though not sure if McMenamin is fit so maybe Nahmani. The defence gives me the fear a bit, but not sure we have a lot of options. Might he go for Dunne instead of Gogic for the pace?
  6. I'm not happy about the situation overall, but this is the best outcome when you take everything into account. Hemming is probably a confidence kinda player based on what we know about him, so we need to make him feel welcome and part of the club. I don't think we'll be bringing in a guy to rival him at this stage.
  7. This game's coming a bit early for us. I hate the format of this competition. Doesn't allow top flight sides time to prepare properly. What? Oh...
  8. Theo Bair was also given chances against teams of that standard, but good effort mate.
  9. That's a fairly nebulous prediction, tbh. Football fans are fickle and we could finish anywhere from 6th to 12th. If we happen to finish 9th-12th then yes, many fans will have turned on him. Some will if we finish 7th/8th. Cheers for your insight.
  10. Mika Mandron has already scored three times as many goals for St Mirren as Bair did for St Johnstone.
  11. Not sure how well stocked they are at RWB, but Ipswich would be a shout, for two reasons that I have plucked out the air: 1) Strain's grandfather scored even more goals for them than he did for us. 2) They are in possession of a certain wall-shaped asset that might be a decent makeweight if required.
  12. Yeah, that was where my head was at. Was it not Drey Wright + someone else? We had accepted it to the point we brought in Kiltie as a replacement.
  13. Thing is - and I hate to be the voice of crushing realism here - but £350k plus two players would probably do it. Not Halliday and Forrest, obviously. But it'd be close. Sorry.
  14. Strong Dundee United vibes from these all-staff crisis talks. I hope you guys have a more successful season than they managed.
  15. Inevitable with a 12-team top flight, a country prone to shit weather and therefore postponements and a big drop-off in quality as you go down the leagues. I agree it's crap though. Was that 4-4 cup game at your place not part a double header? I may have misremembered that. Edit: Actually, we played three times in four games:
  16. Obviously hope Bolton does very well, but everything about that interview suggests he's here for the season and will be heading back down south if he gets fit/into form again.
