  1. I was hoping he was taking the piss - that badge in his avatar is the widely-mocked one that says '31rd January'. But maybe he wasn't.
  2. I like this. If they go up, we get a fee. If they don't, it's hilarious. Win/win.
  3. If he's not good enough and we're getting rid of his wages, and getting a nominal fee, then I think we'll let him go anyway.
  4. Normally I'd check out their thread to see some reaction but honestly who can be arsed navigating all the way down to the Championship forum?
  5. I simply don't believe that. I think we'll sign either Strapp or Marshall as competition at LB/LWB. Or get Small back in on loan.
  6. He listens to The Smiths to cheer himself up. "Heavens knows I'm miserable now, and that's a mild improvement."
  7. He's the better player, in a more specialised position, and makes more goal contributions. Also has the physique that Championship-level clubs would look for. That'd be my guess.
  8. The terrifying aspect is it's clearly been on Robinson's mind. He's mentioned it in interviews and we all hoped it was just loose talk. But no, we are facing the reality that we've brought one of the Irish league's most effective/impactful players with a view to possibly putting him at WB.
  9. Fair play to the Morton fans. 101 years without a proper trophy but they're not letting that dampen their spirits.
  10. Not to the same extent. A great goalkeeper would strengthen a relegation candidate team more than a decent centre half would. But it has to be moot because I can't see Carson staying in Scotland.
  11. This. Also, Ayunga can play the wide role (mind we all thought he was a winger when he signed) and Nahmani looks like more of a unit than I was expecting: might potentially be first choice through the middle as and when he's in the squad and up to speed. Main thing is it's nice to have some options, but all this has to be bad news for Jamieson, Offord and Olusanya.
  12. "Probably about 17!" Tontrooper with the perfect set-up/punchline combo there.
  13. It was his spell at Raith when we scraped survival. I've never seen anything quite like it.
  14. The beauty of Main was that his strength and workrate let us play in a 4-3-3 style, with a press at the front, but with only two strikers. Our purchases so far do make me wonder if we'll go for a 4-3-3, maybe attempting something clever with Gogic being midfield but dropping back in when needed so Strain and Tanser can still get forward.
