My old boss from about a decade ago was ex-Royal Engineers and his work ethic was unreal. His thought process when going into any job was always well thought out, logical and made perfect sense.

It's kind of rubbed off on me too, if I have to go to a site I'm there sharp, having planned and prepped and made sure I've got everything I need to complete the job and I plan for if I won't finish the job or run into issues or problems when I'm there.  That all sounds like common sense, but for the majority of gimps I've worked with, in various jobs over the years, it isn't.  You'd be amazed how many folk would go to a job alone or with me, and be completely underprepared for it, run into issues and have to go back another day to finish it.  When I worked with this guy from the Army that never happened once, nor does it ever happen to me when I'm on a solo trip.

    You'll love it here.

Every morning, is like a 30 man new recruits Monday, nobody knows what to do, no plan no f**k all.

I've worked in 6 different places here, they are all the same.

  2. 1994/95 new year, I stayed in Solihull and for 4 days over new year, her sister came and stay with her boyfriend.

On their arrival the presented us with a food hamper. BRILLIANT, cheese bottle of wine, steak pie the works...

As I said, they stayed 4 days, they never bought anything else during their time, 4 days. Booze, food, drugs...nothing.

On their last day, just before they were to head off, he handed me a receipt. It was for 50 English pounds. Asked for half, for the hamper.

No they never got it and they never returned.

  4. Congratulations to @Bully Wee Villa in his cup victory. No handshake will be offered.

No excuses, but, the scheduling was obviously pressured on @Eednud to call the final slap bang in the middle of Thailands main festival (new year). When IQ level were not at their peak. We managed to form a few brain cells together at sent out the team to not let us down, and by Buddha they never. Very proud of them.

We'll regroup, the heads will not drop and be ready for the next time. The powers above will not stop us.

Victory in our hearts will never be broken.

  5. It's day 2 of '7 dangerous days'.

this highlights 7 days during the New Year festival.  What they don't tell you, is it's like this 365 days per year.

Everyday is a dangerous driving day in Thailand.

63 killed (this figure is only for death at the scene, if you make it to the ambulance then die,  your not on the list)

    550 injured

  6. Ok. Time to put this to bed.

Dinner is the main (big) meal of the day as per the British Empire standards.

Many working class/ children would have that meal around noon. Then have tea at early evening.

Times have changed and main meal is now around 5pm. Reason it is now dinner time.

If your still calling your lunch, dinner. Stop holding onto the British Empire lads.

    Tldr.

    Dinner at noon=big team found.

  7. I like how their going down the cyber attack route. Which actually makes it sound even worse.

Bob Steely, saying "this is the life of a modern politician".

Well, no Bob, it really isn't.

Sending knob photos of yourself to strangers, then handing them phone numbers. Is this what modern politician do in their spare time?
