  1. She did OK! And there was some quite funny banter in the post match interview. Both of them taking the piss out each other. It was actually a decent enough match.
  2. Looks like you're pure dead scottishometer is fucked then. He was representing GB in the Hopman Cup earlier today.
  3. This is quite a big house and while I usually have a fire going in the front room I hardly ever bother in the bedrooms and other rooms. But today I have eight fires burning When the boiler gets condemned I'm converting the house to solid fuel again. I will buy an aga or just a solid fuel boiler and use that. Gas is getting out of control expensive anyway and I dont want to rely on Russia for my heating
  4. Had to get the coal fires working this morning as the gas heating decided to go a bit wonky. That was the pain in the arse bit. But now they are all fired up the house is roasting. Its fucking great actually. I'm sitting in my big Rowley Birkin QC chair by a roaring fire watching the cricket. Bliss!
  5. SA skittled out in a few overs this morning. England lose Strauss in the first couple of their innings too. The pitch looks to have picked up a bit of pace and the bounce is still there. Could get interesting if the SA bowlers can get into their stride here.
  6. Massive dose of the squirts caused by antibiotics. Its like the noise at the start of a pigeon race when I squat down.
  7. Just back from the hospital because my throat is a puss filled hole of vileness. Got enough pills to keep the Happy Mondays going for a full tour. I hardly ever get sick, I'm fecking gutted.
  8. Broad seems to have a wee bit of dig about him. Every time he gets a slating he responds quite well. He isnt the best bowler around but he seems to be improving nicely. I reckon he needs to be the line and length boy in the England attack. Stick it on off stump and piss off the batsmen. I actually think I might be getting won round with young Broad. I like the fact he reacts well to adversity. England were very good right through that test. Great to see Cook getting a score too. I think he is quality. And will become one of the top openers in the world. Swann seems to made a pact with the devil or something. Wicket machine!
  9. Dentists. Particularly getting your face numbed. I got five injections this afternoon because I broke a bit of tooth the other week. Now I look like I've had a stroke.
  10. The boiler needs its annual fan replacement. Thats another 250 sheets worth of boiler crap. The only good thing is that I have the boiler covered by British Gas, but its still a total pain in the arse regardless. This boiler has been fucking shite. Six years worth of total hassle. So the coal fires are a burnin'
  11. Murray just isn't as good as Federer when Federer is playing well. And last night Federer played very well indeed. In fact he was awesome. Murray will jaut have to hold up his hands and accept he was gubbed by the better player last night. Federer on form is still the best player in the world by a fair distance. I liked the way Murray played him last night as he was taking it to him in the first set but Federer found that bit extra and was utterly hammering in that forehand too. Federer just looked invincible at times last night. He served well and his general play was just punishing Murray. Federer is the best tennis player I've ever seen when he is on form. Time will tell if Murray wins a major. He has the game to do it but he will need to have a bit of good fortune while Federer is around and hope to catch him in a final when he isn't firing on all cylinders like big Del Porto did in the US.
  12. My daughter has left the DVD of Shaun the Sheep on. The theme tune is highly irritating but I can't be arsed going over to hunt for the remote.
  13. He had less than 14 hours recovery time after his last match. That's what happened. Who scheduled his matches ffs? Looks like Mr Overbite is getting lucky in this tournament as big Del Potro had to chuck it through injury last night. No doubt his semi final opponent will be struck by lightning or something.
  14. It was a good match. The French boy played out of his skin at times. Hit a great length and had Federer running about. Nadal had a complete stinker of a match as well although he scraped through in the end.
  15. He was still bothered by his hip injury by the look of it. Must be one of those ones that sometimes jabs you with pain if you jar it. He had a tough match with Blake tonight. Won it eventually though. Blake was playing quite nicely at times.
  16. He managed to beat Verdasco yesterday without really looking in the best nick. He sort of turned in a Murray special sort of match. Just got the ball back too often for his opponent to deal with and eventually it broke Verdasco. Murray looked like he was in a bit of pain ff his right side towards the end of the game. It was nice to see him shut up the Spanish crowd though.
  17. This. They were actually a fantastic live band. I think thye drank themselves to death. This is a fucking great song though.
  18. It just seems to me that when folk decide to "get fit" the first thing they do is decide they are going to go running. And it's fucking shite, and they last a week or something and then bin the whole notion. It IS great way to get fit and you WILL lose weight doing it. It's just boring. I'd much rather do something properly competitive. But that's maybe just me. I know we are all wired differently. There are quite a few ways to skin a cat anyway when it comes to fitness. Just find something you actually enjoy doing and do that. When you start to get fitter you can look at other stuff to add to the repertoire anyway. BTW, that chin up bar was the best thing I ever got.
  19. Me too. I find it the most tedious form of exercise. I hate running distances. That's why I dont do it. And I think it's pointless anyway unless you are wanting to do long races. I also wouldn't waste time on the treadmill at a gym. Get a bicycle or something and at least enjoy some scenery and fresh air.
  20. It is one of those ones that sort of hooks over the doorframe. No drilling or hassle. And you take it down when your done with it. They only cost about £20. Well worth the money. It must be one of the best exercises you can possibly do. BTW if you live in an older property it might not fit over the older doorframes. I'm fortunate I have a newer extension on the back of this house so it fits that. It wont work on the old bit of the house. Youd need to get a drill into the doorframe one for that. Those are only a tenner though. The wife wouldnt let me drill into the doorframe
