  1. I am sure we have a number of fans who follow us as their local non league side and also follow a local side further up the senior ranks than us. I don’t think many regular fans travel great distances to watch us as most I suspect are from the Shawlands/Pollokshaws area and surrounds. The bugbear of the Old Firm is the fact that many folk with no connection at all to those teams travel from all over Scotland never thinking about watching or supporting their local sides just because they can watch a team that wins almost every game.
  2. Many of them just turn up from all over Scotland ignoring their own local sides because it’s easy to “support” a team which wins 99% of its games against vastly poorer resourced opponents .And then they go home to their towns and villages dozens of miles from Glasgow and feel good. But have never enjoyed the ups and downs and the investment of following their own local team. And that’s why we love it.Lok have some issues arising from various factors at the moment but all Lok fans will I am sure rise up and meet the challenge because we love our own local club and are proud to follow it.
  3. Auchinleck have been quietly putting together a very good run of results. If they had started the season that way they would be right up at the top challenging but all credit to Tommy Sloan in working away at things. In the meantime at Lok we are disappearing without a whimper and just continuing to falter in games.Poor stuff after a start that promised a lot.
  4. It’s going to go down to the wire.Clydebank are very consistent and will have the odd blip but get the points.Beith win a load of games.Maybe the Lok will have a hand in it all-if we ever get thr bones of a team back together from the shambles we are currently seeing!
  5. It’s a great competitive league and as good as any in Scotland. We won’t win the league but are probably able to cause mischief if we are on form!If not we will get a few gubbings.
  6. It’s a very tasty contest-that’s for sure.Clydebank have put themselves into a very strong position but a good bit to go yet.We come up against them on Saturday but it’s one of many important games to be played yet.I hope Lok will compete knowing our inconsistencies this season!
  7. Be great if we could get ourselves into the kind of form that would win a title-been missing for more than a decade!
  8. Not sure what financial fair play would look like at our level right enough.
  9. Totally agree but they are in the mix
  10. The one wild card thrown into all of this is St Cadocs as mentioned above. They have a very strong squad and are quietly putting together results. There may be many who dislike the whole set up of no home ground/location/fans and money just pumped in to signing players but that’s all permissible and they have developed a strong team.
  11. Yep we just can’t get a run of form going at the moment-I didn’t think it was a red as I was facing Jordan under the enclosure as he came out and could see he was making every effort to keep his arms out of the way but would like to see the video if that helps. Regardless even with 10 men the game should have been put to bed with the numerous chances we had but that’s the story of this season.Just need to try to finish in a reasonable position and aim to be stronger next season. I do think that Clydebank are now in the driving seat for the title-it’s such a hard league that playing catch up is a very big ask and the chasing teams will drop points.
  12. Loks inconsistent season continues.Plenty of chances to win the game with ten men but couldn’t do it and hit as usual with the classic sucker punch after the 90! Game took a twist also with the red card for Jordan Longmuir early for alleged handball outside the box-quite like to see that one again as I wasn’t sure
  13. Yep agreed-we can be excellent on our day but have been plagued by inconsistency and yet again a failure to win the key games which can make all the difference to a season.I think the title race is boiling down to Clydebank Beith and Darvel
  14. I think what was said earlier is spot on-Auchinleck even if not likely to win the league are more than capable of beating every side in contention home or away so will have a big say in what happens
  15. Clydebank are in a very good position to win the league this year.Points in the bag are very valuable this season. Not sure which Lok will turn up on Saturday as we can go from brilliant to rotten in the blink of an eye!And everywhere in between too!!Inconsistency has cost us this season.
  16. He has done very well building a good squad last season and strengthening it this season into a real title contending team.
  17. That would be the most bizarre twist ever if it was the case. Surely someone here knows if Rob Roy did or didn’t contribute towards the new stadium development. The mystery deepens…..
  18. You have to ask the question. How did the committee of Rob Roy ever allow this to happen? Its the elephant in the room which no one has ever addressed.
  19. Ah ok-hopefully there is then plenty still locked away but I imagine with a decade of running costs and very little income if any that money will have been getting eaten away?
  20. I remember the big money spending well.It didn’t bring any success but they seemed determined to buy anyone of note from competing clubs. As said above support has drifted away and you have to wonder what the future holds for Rob Roy.If they don’t sort out the whole stadium debacle very soon I fear for any future of the club.
  21. Absolutely-surely they only put capital into the new stadium development once an agreement had been signed about ownership/control/use etc?It would be beyond belief if they just threw in the Adamslie cash without knowing what they were getting in return.
  22. The whole thing looks like a complete disaster. But selling Adamslie with no relocation plan in place created this situation.
  23. Is there anyone at all at Rob Roy who has any information as to whether they are ever going to get this ground?Or even when they might actually find out…..
  24. With this league being as competitive as it has ever been I think that points already won are more valuable than any games in hand. And Clydebank keep winning so I think they are favourites at the moment no matter how much that is downplayed.
