  1. And is that going to mean that honouring a fixture list will be subject to the Council allowing use on those dates too?
  2. Do Beith have lights yet or would they need to play those games away?
  3. Although as I understand it the current issue is over who plays the opening game there the bigger picture is of course the regular use of the ground as a home stadium.Has that been resolved yet because if Rob Roy don’t secure that it is a complete disaster. Unfortunately this whole sorry saga is a result of the sale of Adamslie with no confirmed relocation deal at the time and that is why things have ended up as they are.
  4. Wondered that myself-there were all sorts of stories about MK leaving and the big money disappearing simultaneously but Mr Gall is still about and I’m not convinced there is any drop in financing
  5. I think Tony will do reasonably well with Darvel.Still a decent squad but beatable. Two sore defeats but they will be upper half of the league and give a game to plenty. Lots of football still to be played.
  6. It’s a difficult scenario when you have had so much success with Tommy-an unbelievable record and a really good guy. i understand the feelings of frustration and disappointment as Auchinleck have set such high standards but be wary of knee jerk reactions.I think allow the side some time to regroup and rebuild -you won’t get relegated but need a refresh for next season.
  7. Haven’t seen much of an away following from Beith or Kilwinning in recent years. In fact last year down at Beith in the league I was surprised at how poor the turnout was from home fans seeing as they were top of the table and looking good for the league.
  8. And against us.Second half we were steamrollered out of the game
  9. Am I right in thinking that Auchinleck are the only side never to have been relegated from the Premier Division?(excluding new clubs ). I think they perhaps finished one place above relegation in the early years but haven’t gone down.
  10. The Bens are real dark horses-fast running well organised dangerous team who fight for everything. We were on the receiving end of it and they will beat many sides this season I am sure.
  11. Yes absolutely right-not only football but his wider historical knowledge of Campbeltown and area backed up by his walking tours etc is incredible
  12. It’s a fantastic part of the world down there with stunning scenery and whiskies and friendly locals and the legendary Alex McKinven who is treasurer for the Pupils really is the encyclopaedia of football in Kintyre and the leading authority on that subject.
  13. I think that’s right-good forward moving side and had chances against us which of taken would have lead to a very different game.
  14. They are a fast hardworking team with good fitness and dangerous going forward and we never looked at the races 2nd half.If the same happens in a few weeks time we are out the big Scottish
  15. Lok are exactly the same at the moment. Can’t hold on to a lead and all over the place when a team press or get in the box. Also have no threat up front.
  16. Surely this whole saga must be resolved soon.Is it now 10 years since they left Adamslie?
  17. Beith on top consistent form and the rest not as consistent at all-will be a tougher league than ever before I think
  18. I remember Brian Hewitt-decent keeper and great servant to Neilston but was that not 25 years ago?
  19. It was a very good result for them as we know how hard it is to get anything at Auchinleck but St Cadocs have a decent squad. They will be tough opponents for most.
  20. That can’t possibly be true as all of that would have been investigated before anything went through planning or the ground was constructed. It would be unbelievable if something now has been found!
  21. We could spend forever debating who did what and arguing about bad behaviour but we have all seen it from our own people as well as other teams. Incidents of assault and criminal acts need fully investigated and punished no matter the perpetrators and no matter the team involved-we need to be seen to be dealing with this properly especially in the days now of a more professionally run product subject to Licences and much more scrutiny and coverage than ever before.
  22. He was suspended after the incident for a long period and returned briefly thereafter the next season during which he was injured and that was the end of his time at Pollok.
  23. Utter nonsense. Howie was suspended by the club for the rest of the season and then left .It was a disgraceful incident and Pollok dealt with it straight away.
