Darvel looked flat and to be honest as if they had given up the ghost a bit re the title.Not sure now where the club go now-will the players and the money disappear having failed again to progress into the Lowland despite all the funding.

I think our result today put paid in reality to any Darvel title hopes.

Third Lanark seemed to do pretty well support wise over the years and didn’t go down due to the lack of fans.

Which could easily be sorted as Lok have gates beside the dressing room and Loks bar used as exits at the moment so not a huge job to overcome that-as well as I think six pay gates from Newlandsfield Road when needed.

Been in Newlandsfield many a time when it has been well over 3000 fans in the ground.No safety issues at all.Really technical jobsworth issues over measuring spaces and elevations of steps as well as the safety of the enclosure most of which defies belief.

Even small margins make a difference in a City.And encroaching on another teams area -particularly an established team-just doesn’t work for the future of a club or support.

Lok are a totally distinct entity from a different part of the City so moving areas just doesn’t work-even if you are tongue in cheek!

Absolutely spot on.Pollok haven’t ever received a penny from the City Council and have self funded every aspect of the Licence process including all ground upgrades.A financial Assist would be hugely appreciated of course but more importantly just some Co-operation,enthusiasm and backing from GCC.It does feel like City clubs are pretty much ignored whereas as said above clubs in rural or village/small town locations are valued and supported by their Councils on various fronts-and that can become disillusioning.

Yes we need to be delivering on the park where it has for some time been so near so far which isn’t good enough. However off the park having a local authority which simply has no interest in the club means that infrastructure issues and projects are a real struggle -it is disappointing when clubs in other local authority areas seem to get backing from their Councils.

Wonder what that means in practice eg are teams like Beith etc demonstrating that they are complying with this-and is it being monitored?

Absolutely. Glasgow City Council have done absolutely nothing at all to assist Lok over the years despite the club engaging with them many times on various issues.Having a supportive local authority is a huge advantage.

Hard to tell between the two.Nothing at all between us and Auchinleck both games and to be fair Cumnock too.Beith have been really consistent and are now being chased by the only team now with the depth and quality to catch them.
