  1. Felt quite anticlimactic tonight, when is a shame because had the game been played a few weeks ago I imagine there would have been fireworks. Not much in the match besides the two headed chances (one for each team).
  2. Genuine Q - is that just the speed the Dumbarton GK plays at? Because it was exactly the same at Forthbank a few weeks ago. Two must-win matches for Dumbarton, so surely it's not actually time-wasting?
  3. There's been pessimism from our fans before pretty much every match for months. I get it - we haven't really produced an emphatic performance since the autumn - but we're 16 games unbeaten! I reckon we'll get the job done tonight.
  4. There have been some great moments this season, but today's was the best of the bunch
  5. This is a bit of a piss take. I know plenty fans (myself included) who felt it was an insult to ask us to queue outside in the pissing rain for 30 mins to get the voucher, and so didn't. Dumbarton should be operating an honest jar policy for the rearranged fixture. That would be common sense.
  6. Saw the queue for a refund outside in the pissing rain and thought... nah. I won't be coming back for the re-arranged game anyway. There's only so many times this can happen before it's just taking the piss.
  7. This was the chat last time and we ended up having to scrap for a point
  8. Thought 937 was pretty good considering there was an Old Firm on
  9. Yesterday's attendance - 937. 39% bigger than East Fife's biggest league crowd of the season...
  10. East Fife are a decent team. Impressed by them. Good on the ball. High level of technical ability. Think that's probably a good point for Albion all things considered.
  11. Tuesday was a struggle, but we got a bit of a second wind after the Stranraer game (where I feared we were running out of steam). Cooper and Dunsmore coming into the team helped freshen things up. Do we know if Cooper's injury is a bad one? Will he be back for Saturday?
  12. I'll have nightmares about that Kyle Banner backpass tonight...
  13. Great to see Blair sign on. One of the best GKs in the league and I think finding good GKs at this level is really difficult. Davidson has more to do to convince me. I don't think he's been very good recently, although ability is clearly there.
  14. Big day! Some serious daylight starting to appear. Well done boys!
  15. Would like to see Cooper keep his place for tomorrow. Nowhere near as good as Kai, but he's able to past a player and that's a quality Albion have lacked since Kai left
  16. Been a while since we've seen the home stand that packed (and with no away fans in there either)
  17. Aye, Dumbarton fans made a good din. Contributed to the spectacle. Don't think either team likes the other much. A lot of verbals throughout.
  18. Genuinely wondering what match you were watching. Dumbarton were trying to get a man sent off from early doors. Thankfully ref didn't fall for it. Took us a while to get up for the fight. We should have expected Dumbarton would have had a rocket after the Rovers game. Had a lull at the start of the second half too. Frustrating.
  19. Rubbish. Haven't seen such a physical team at Forthbank all season. And then when Albion gave some back Dumbarton had Love and MacLean (?) throwing themselves around at every opportunity. Pretty embarrassing stuff.
  20. We've been stodgy for weeks and are hardly a Pep Guardiola team ourselves, but jeezo... Dumbarton are a tough watch! Time wasting from minute 1, players diving around, feigning injury and then playing for territory with long balls into the corners. Disappointed to concede twice because didn't think Dumbarton offered much at all. Having said all that - a bit of needle makes the title race more interesting. I love it really.
  21. Hoping Young learns something from the second half of Tuesday's game. Team had got a bit stodgy between Stranraer/Forfar. Dunsmore made a big difference. So did having the pace of Cooper to run in behind (something we have lacked since Kai left). I like Denholm, but he doesn't offer enough. He can't start on Saturday. I'd start Dunsmore, shift Moore to the left and use Cooper off the bench in the second half. Would also bring Clark back in at LB - was Young road-testing this by bringing him for the last 10 mins on Tuesday?
