  1. To all at Starks Park a Happy and prosperous New Year and to all Rovers supporters I hope next year will be health wise better and the team go on to greater things. Come on ye Raith. Jingle bells jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to Beat (fcuk) the Pars on New Years Day. To all Dunfermline supporters all the best for the coming year but only after Sunday.
  2. Merry Christmas to all even that lot along the road in Dunfermline hope next year will be better.
  3. Yes something like that being allowed doesn't happen when the blazers are involved, it's to much like common sense.
  4. The thing I am wondering about is with all these boat people coming over from Europe are they being checked for covid when they arrive or are they just put into detention center's. I know Glasgow's getting a lot of flak over the conference there in November but there are other issues with allowing people into Britain. You can travel to South Africa from Turkey ,France, Holland and probably other various European airports then catch a connecting flights into this country without taking tests. This was when all red and amber zones were cancelled. We probably have our European Neighbour's to thanks for this new outbreak and also a buffoon that couldn't run a pissup in a brewery ensconced in 10 Downing Street. Is he having a party this weekend I wouldn't be surprised.
  5. Not being able to go to the game on Sunday I will be relying on the stream to watch the game. Is it easy to register for it I seem to remember buying it before when lockdown was in place.
  6. Getting ready to set off for the game, stagecoach to Glasgow then various establishments to Firhill. Looking forward to this.
  7. Tried to find out what happened to that photo with the older gentlemen of that era sadly most of whom are no longer with us. Consensus of opinion came out in favour of Alec Penman binning it when he did the old 200 club up.
  8. Just watched the pitch side footage and have to say what a wonderful piece I hope there are more of these planned as it shows the level of support for a very good team and management. Get John McGlynn and Smugger on long term contracts.
  9. Got my ticket today looking forwards to the wee pub crawl to Firhill.
  10. He appears to be desperately trying to hang on to his job and it's everyone's fault but his own. I've watched the video and I was right behind the incident when it happened on both occasions I thought it was a clear penalty the players arms are outstretched away from his body. A soft penalty yes but all the same it was a penalty.
  11. If you go over to the Southerton side where the path leads down to what used to be the Mill Dam it's nice and boggy there.
  12. Getting early Glasgow bus from Kirkcaldy and a pub crawl to Firhill yessssssssssssss. John McGlynn should have the players train at the Beveridge park all week to get them used to the tattie field conditions.
  13. Seeing that the manager never put him on today when the chance was there and that Arnott and BRS were given the nod before him tells you that his days at Starks Park may be numbered if so it shows that in football there is no loyalty amongst some players.
  14. Get well soon Raithie. As others have said it was a stonewall penalty, defenders arm outstretched ball hit his hand or he played the ball with his hand whichever way you look at it Precious had an easy decision . The team struggled at times but that was due to Killie pressuring us, which was to be expected. I thought after half-time we were the better side but still had a few scary moments. Anyway looking forwards to Firhill next week and the magic curry pies f they still do them.
  15. With Gollum reffing we'll be lucky to have eleven players on the pitch after 90 minutes. The man's a bomb scare, albeit he was almost human through at Rugby Park. I'll wash my mouth out with soap.
  16. What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are they televising the Fife Cup?
  17. I think your ok with the Novar but not sure about the High Street best give them a call I think they have a web page that'll give you contact details. There is also parking at the Beveridge Park a 5 minute walk to the pub. I am almost certain the Novar is ok for kids but it does get busy so best to go a wee bit earlier.
  18. Squirrelhumper the closest pub to your end of the ground is the Novar Bar it's a Rovers pub but you will be made welcome. They also do bar lunches and have agood selection of drinks. I am not sure if you are thinking about eating that you may have to book in advance. If you go there it's only a 10 minute walk to the North end of the ground and that is where you'll be seated. As well as the Novar there are quite a few pubs on the High Street as well again within easy walking distance to the ground.
  19. Cheers Beachbum a wee bit of history for the younger supporters.
  20. Embow found a thread on YouTube for the Scottish cup semi-finals in 1951 featuring Raith against Celtic and Motherwell against Hibs it was on a Pathe newsreel of the time. I am afraid I can't load it onto a Rovers site as I am not that clever with computers but if you could I am sure that there will be a few people interested to view this. Celtic won 3-2 but Rovers gave them a good game. Anyway I hope you can manage to do this many thanks.
