Dunfermline (9th) v Arbroath (10th) 17th Feb
DAFC. replied to RedLichtie86's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Outwith a total bomb-scare moment, I can't remember you threatening too much. We definitely dropped off, but we did enough both halves to win the game. Still not trying to dress it up though. Both teams are utter shite, and Arbroath will finish dead last with us a close second (bottom) -

Never, we demand 24/7 full focus on the Pars. -

I think Moffat should play ahead of Summers all day long. -

He looks way off it to be honest. Not holding much hope the boy can turn his form around. -

And? He can score a goal in the last minute with his cock-end to half the arrears, he is still shite and not pulling his weight to dig us out this hole. A total luxury player that we simply cannot afford. -

They probably look like Messi in B team football, but are shown up to be weak as piss sand dancers at this level. It's usually the case tbf. Completely hopeless. He and a few other can f*ck right off. -

BTW - Raith fans definitely hate us more than they like their own team. That is a fact. -

Would also happily take Summers back to Celtic Park on my back. Offers absolutely nothing by trying to be smart and skinning everyone, which always fails. Total waste of a loan. -

I think them, as well as Bene and Breen, aren't too far away. If we can add Ashcroft and a midfielder before they come back, then we will have a better chance. -

C'mon man. Be better than that. -

Obviously the wee team's fans are sticking the boot in about McPake* but I honestly don't think this season is a true reflection on the man as a manager. The injuries have absolutely killed us. I'm not trying to make excuses, but so much has gone against us and we haven't been able to get going at all. That then results in poor performances due to so much chopping and changing, ergo low confidence, ergo further poor results. He has had to firefight for most of the season. *Reading Twitter and this app will show they hate The Pars more than they support their own team. -

We're definitely in trouble, but genuinely don't see how changing the manager will help us avoid bottom 2. It's still the same players and still the same injury list. Not sure if sacking him and waiting weeks for a new man, then waiting for the new man's ideas to bed in could yield positive results. I'm not a happy clapper by any means, I just don't know how such a radical change at this point helps things. Thoughts? -

Not as many Pars fans this week calling for McPake's head. I don't think replacing him would achieve much in all honesty. Give him the play-offs, and hope we stay up. The confidence is obviously rock bottom, and I don't think Klopp or Pep could change that at this point. -

In no way is that post trying to claim "we wur cheated!!!" but he was giving yellows for nothing at times and generally just being a bit of a cock. -

Also, MFW saved us near the end from total disaster with a last ditch effort. Really isn't good enough and I don't know how we finish any better than 9th at this point. -

We had enough chances to win today. We conceded a totally abysmal goal, almost schoolboy stuff. McCann and Otoo should be scoring those chances at the end. Just the way things seem to be going for us. Arbroath are dreadful, and we have gave them some hope still. Today should have been all about smashing Arbroath, getting the fans back onside, and kicking on to get ourselves back to a better position. It's just not happening for us at all. Thought the referee was a total walloper as well. Made it all about him. -

MFW and MOH had chances they really should be scoring. Arbroath have came forward a few times and looked to threaten, but we've dealt with it comfortably. You can tell there is a lack of confidence still there, but at least we are being positive and creating chances to score and not gifting the opposition easy chances. -

Would genuinely take Benjamin off right now. On a yellow and looks way off the pace. -

Confident we won't get smashed purely for having a decent midfield. A good midfield should help these guys at the back as well. COYP. -

Anyway, still think he is going for the 3/5 at the back. -

Summers isn't a wide man so surely Moffat who, despite shortcomings, should play as he has looked the only decent player for us recently. -

Something like this today? Despite Benjamin and MFW looking like complete duds recently, I think a competent midfield could help them. Wait and see -

Otto/Hamilton midfield would be much better if we didn't have about a million crocked centre halves. -

Well, Rangers are compared to a Germanic tribe that rhymes with "buns" so there is some truth in that.- 621 replies
