  1. According to the Civil Aviation Authority, it's illegal to fly a drone within 50 metres of people. Measured horizontally, so well outside any football ground.
  2. AFAIK it doesn't work like that. The only route from the EOS is to the Lowland League. The only way to get promoted to the HL is from one of the three northern Tier 6 leagues
  3. "dinghied"? Was the pitch really waterlogged enough for that?
  4. The profit and loss account has no direct bearing on (in)solvency: the £190k loss is irrelevant as it is not a liability. What matters is the balance sheet. In particular, whether enough assets are realisable to meet current liabilities by their due dates.
  5. Indeed. It's not so long since the SPFL admitted a new club which had never kicked a ball at all.
  6. No, Rhubarb said they "tried to draw a line under the sand". Probably didn't succeed.
  7. I don't think anyone is suggesting that a plastic pitch is as good as a top-flight league one. But the top league clubs have the resources to spend a fortune on maintaining their pitches, and generally have the luxury of only using them once a fortnight. It's absurd to compare that with grass pitch maintenance and utilisation at WOSL level.
  8. Why did any of this have o wait for a "meeting" with the SJFA, for something that could be answered in a two-minute phone call?
  9. You may be right. Some might think they want to continue the Juniors' century-long sulk, cutting themselves off from the rest of Scottish (and indeed world) football for reasons no-one can remember.. Like Francis Urquhart, I couldn't possibly comment.
  10. Not necessarily. It depends on what exactly the contractor was engaged to do. Were the drains within the scope of the contract? If not, it's the club's fault.
  11. Why do you think the SFA would give them office space rent-free? Do the SPFL & SJFA enjoy free offices? I doubt it.
  12. o you mean the Blazers at Beith, for failing to get licensed, or those at Darvel, Talbot, Clydebank etc. for letting them win?
  13. If Talbot are serious about progressing, they need to concentrate on the league and forgo the cups. I’d like to see them do that, but otherwise they will be seen as still having the Joonyur mentality.
  14. Liquidation is, by definition, irreversible. Except in the imagination of Sevco fans.
  15. Darvel are apparently in deep financial trouble. You're suggesting that they should be turning away, or at least discouraging, paying customers. I'd respectfully suggest that may not be their best strategy
  16. IIRC what “killed” them was going broke. Mainly because the owner sold the ground without any plan in place for a replacement. Nothing to do with the “senior grade”, whatever that means.
  17. If SPFL did try to expel EC an that basis, I'd have thought any court would overturn it on the 'de minimis' principle.
  18. Some might wonder why the SJFA would care about the impact on these new-dangled senior leagues.
  19. I’ve thought about it, as have most of the posters on here. You’ve failed to explain what would be the attraction for the EPL clubs, their fans and sponsors. The harsh reality is that introducing Scottish clubs would reduce the quality (and profitability) of the league. The OF “might” be exceptions, but they’d bring a hefty downside in the shape of hordes of knuckle-dragging bigoted supporters laying waste to English towns.
