  1. Ayr United’s number 6, Andy Geggan, having to wear a number 16 jersey with the 1 ripped off it.
  2. IMO we’re not going to cause any problems for the teams in the top 4, and I’ve got a feeling the rest of the campaign is just about doing enough to not have to worry about relegation. If Crawford can show that we can improve under him by threatening the top 4 or even squeezing in there somehow then, aye, I could understand the board giving him another season. If not, look elsewhere. Crawford staying as a coach can’t be too wild a notion, but he might only be wanting management jobs now.
  3. The next Dunfermline v Thistle game on 25th April has been moved to 7:20pm so it can be shown on BBC. I’m sure after the game on Saturday they’ll quickly change their minds.
  4. Cheers for all the suggestions, lads. I was half planning going to the wee pub on Ashton Lane but might give Hillhead a miss altogether.
  5. What’s the best bet? Off at Kelvinbridge or are the better pubs closer to Hillhead? Hopefully around 500 going, the weather will sway a few I’d reckon but as said above we’ve had a couple of decent wins and a few weeks off. I take it we’ll be in the Main Stand, and not the JHS?
  6. This is as good as a home game for me now so I’m looking forward to a few pints in the west end followed by the serious disappointment that inevitably follows.
  7. The better half watched the first episode of The Stranger on her own but I’ve watched the next few episodes, been really enjoying it. There’s a lot of twists and turns but hopefully it has a good finale, it has great potential at the moment anyway.
  8. Is that true? Thought it was just mentioned out of speculation here when he went to Airdrie.
  9. I mind the Scott Wilson winner vs Hearts was on Sky Sports News that night, must be on YouTube somewhere.
  10. Aye Cardle vs Thistle was something else. Hardie against them Wee Team has to be up there as well, for the sheer importance of it as well as the quality and contribution.
  11. Decent enough player for this level, Falkirk fans will tell you he’s a shitebag but he gave just about everything he had for us and we never really got any half-hearted performances from him. He’s effective as both a right back and a central midfielder.
  12. A fake account tweeted that Nisbet had signed for them subject to a medical. Fair to say I’m needing a clean pair of knickers because I SHAT IT.
  13. The Glen Tavern, across the road from the car park at the top of the Glen, next to the information centre. I’d be surprised if they didn’t allow dogs in there.
  14. The article on the signing of Duncan doesn’t suggest there was a lot of thought into this one. “An agent sent us a YouTube video, we watched it and thought ‘aye, he looks alright.’”
  15. Creative, attack-minded (but not quite number 10) midfielder probably describes him best. Didn’t really do anything of note with us in League One but found a bit of form in the Championship, likes to get his foot on the ball and can pick out a pass. The game can pass him by quite easily IIRC but he’s technically a decent wee player with a good understanding of the game, should be a decent signing for League One. One of those players I’d have kept on but wasn’t overly gutted to see him leave is how I felt when he was released, I’m sure. I can’t think where he went or what he’s done (shirt stint in Ireland?) since leaving us which will obviously play a part in his fitness/match sharpness.
  16. Nah, McGill has done nothing to suggest he’s ready for this level yet or any time soon. Nothing against the boy, he seems to have a decent attitude and puts himself about but there’s very little quality there at the moment.
  17. We improved a fair bit on Friday night but I don’t think there was anything “really impressive” about our overall performance. We gained a lot of confidence after going a goal (and two) up but before that we were every bit as shit as Dundee.
  18. Why is it customary for English lower league fans to have foil cutouts of the FA Cup trophy? Fucking weirdos. It’s always people who seem far too old to be doing that kind of thing too, ie over 6 years old. I’d want the Scottish Cup postpones for a season if you started seeing some 16 year-old Stenhousemuir fan waving a bit of fucking tin foil about at the football.
  19. Allan Johnston could never turn a game around with us.
