    Done 14 miles today. Felt quite difficult after football last night but soldiered through it. The roads were quite bad today, so I had to completely clean down everything afterwards. Wheels, front chain rings, chain, cassette and derailleurs. Was quite therapeutic.

    It's not against the law to cycle 2 abreast on the roads. So there's nothing stopping cyclists doing it.

    What d'you make of it? I'd say it's expensive, but well worth the money. Very light and comfortable. Had to buy new tires the other day, my old ones had gone a bit bald. New pair of Gatorskins .

    New Shimano 105 SPD-SL pedals fitted, new shoes and a shiny new Kask Mojito helmet. I love Christmas, even if the helmet was a present to myself.

    The most glaring one is the terrorists stopping Saul on the way back to America to take the memory card with Brody's suicide tape on it off him. They done this knowing full well that the CIA had seen it and knew he was a terrorist, yet they still continue to tell him sensitive information.

    There's some cycle lanes that just appear in the gutter, but only run for about 30 metres. What's the fucking point in that?!

    I only cycle on main roads for about the first 10-15 minutes of a cycle, once I get out towards Eaglesham/Jackton/Strathaven it's lovely and quiet. Far nicer than fighting with traffic for the entire time.

    This. The amount of times I've been belting down the hill on Carmunnock Road at 40-45 mph and folk feel the need to overtake you despite the fact I'm already way over the speed limit. I think this program missed out on a great opportunity to educate both shite cyclists and shite motorists. But no. It was a complete waste of time.

    It was unseasonably mild when I got up for work at 5 this morning, didn't even have to defrost the car. It's just been sleet all day since then.

    I bought 2 pairs of cheap gloves that were absolutely no use. I shelled out a bit extra for a pair of Goretex Windstopper gloves and they are tremendous. It's worth paying a bit extra for gloves that actually do the job.
