As well as the comments about Efford himself, I also enjoyed the comments of people demanding a bigger statement because they are part owners of the club. To add to that, there was even someone saying we shouldn't have let Danzaki go either. Strange place 😂

No fucking wonder Burrows left. For their 10 quid a month c***s were practically trying to bell him on his landline for a explanation on everything.

Looks to me like Radcliffe is getting bored and wouldn't surprise me of they pull out; you'd think a team like Sky/Ineos would be able to get a new sponsor but would they put as much money in?

I'd be surprised if Ineos pulled out. Relatively speaking this won't be taking up as much money in their portfolio as their football teams/formula one involvement etc. And it's a prime sports washing vehicle for their vehicle the team is named after which is a big brute of a petrol/diesel.

Really enjoyed the road championships, didn't really watch anything else. The race yesterday was as good a women's one as I've seen, with the strongest rider eventually prevailing with everyone else giving their all and just falling short.

Lizzie Deignan rode a brilliant race tactically, but just didn't have the miles in her legs at the end.

It was also great to see so many people out watching the road events both in Glasgow, Stirling and along the routes. TV coverage also did a great job of showing Scotland off. Great event and maybe we can get another major road race here again before too long.

Oh, and a mention for young Scot Anna Shackley for picking up bronze in the U23 category.

I think for all there were people airing their tepid takes on how the course was rubbish, you cannot argue that the strongest riders were either the eventual winners or at least in the mix for all the road races. Had an absolutely smashing time at all of them and the TT through in Stirling.

  4. For a bit more nuance on my take. There maybe is a bit of a wider conversation to be had about vloggers, in this case at the football, but probably in wider circumstances not filming folk without their permission. Picking this one guy out and writing an article that reads like an angry 12 year old wrote it is not the move here though.

I don't particularly like this Sam North fella's content but I am probably not his target audience. I'm not slagging anyone for liking it, I'm sure folk would find the stuff I watch to be complete shite. (Dunno if the Bois hold any strong opinions on Elden Ring playthroughs).

Basically everyone involved here looks like a fanny at the minute.

Just watching his goal again, thought it at the time but worth calling out - a great team goal.

Wilko - good hold up play and a smart we touch to take it away from the Dundee player.

Miller - lovely first time ball over to SOD

SOD -  great cut back for an assist and had raced up to get there in the first place.

Bair - Good run into the box and pretty composed finish in the conditions.

    More of that please.

SOD starting in his own penalty box and being the one to pick out The Bair is impressive for a man who runs like he has pulled both his hamstrings.

Yes, picked up on that. A few minutes later they showed a small pond/lochan and declared it as Bardowie Loch. The footage then showed the real Bardowie Loch without a word spoken. It makes you wonder how much of the chat in the Tour de France coverage is nonsense although I have to say the coverage on Sunday was excellent.

ITV have that Dutch fella that does his segments on the geology of regions of France. And from listening to Never Strays Far they have a big book about chateaus & cathedrals that they refer to for whatever they happen to be going past.

Was weird (but good!) having Boulting and of course Boardman on the BBC coverage (which I assume was some kind of UCI World Feed?). Was also strange hearing Ned say that he'd been speaking to Millar that morning but him not being alongside him.

I went along to the event at the Arches they had on. Guests were really good and had some really interesting stories.

The crowd was pretty fucking grim though. Shout out the table next to me who were basically shouting along their table to each other while the interviews were ongoing.

  8. I done a lap of the circuit on my Brompton there. Mental that you can just go for a ride exactly where MVDP attacked to become world champion. Now I love my Brompton, but doing Montrose Street and Scott Street on it is nae fun.

Had a superb day watching it. Also met Matt Stephens, David Millar and Ned Boulting 😂.

I can't see it getting to a bunch sprint. It's a mental technical course and I reckon if someone gets any leeway in a break they'll never be seen again. MVDP and his all or nothing racing will be class to see.

I mean I called it but I put f**k all money on it. Thought that would be dull and stuck a tenner on Asgreen after he was going well at the Tour.

  10. Kelly is a good (occasionally great) keeper at this level and that alone can more or less be the difference between an ok season & relegation. In the 6 months before he signed we had a broken Carson, a below average Archer and an absolutely fucking terrible Chapman to rely on.

If we're going to pay over the odds for any player I'd probably say a keeper is the one to do it on.

Or who can avoid the most potholes that have littered our roads! I don’t suppose any knows if the government have taken it upon themselves to resurfaced some of/most of the route like they do for the tour in France or if they are just leaving it to chance?

Would be daft not to given this is a worldwide event.

To be fair they've resurfaced a lot of the route. Byres Road looked like the Somme a while ago but they fixed that recently. Same with the roads round the City Chambers.

Not that I'm in support of Glasgow City Council. Nipped in to the launch thing last night. When they brought out the leader of GCC I felt like booing.

If the Belgians had any sense they’d be riding for Philipsen.
