Haha. It must be murder for the boys posting things like this. There's always someone waiting to point out a mistake. 😂

It's not exactly a mistake 50+ teams. Annan catches the eye because it was the 1st name in Conference A and then the 1st name of Section 1. It's easy to get lost in a sea of badges.

  2. Dead City, the Negan & Maggie spin-off debuted last Sunday. Looks to have gone completely unnoticed. There's two episodes out there now. Think i'll just wait until the end of July when it can be binged.

Hi ... just checked and yer right - none of them seem to use Palmerston. Remember a few years back doing a bit of analysis of travel times to and from SOS teams and I'm sure there were at least 2 used Palmerston but it's a while ago so could be wrong.

    Thanks for your reply

Heston Rovers have been the only ones using Palmerston as their home ground recently. As a venue it has occasionally been subbed in to get some games played.

Yeah, that's true, and now I feel like a dick for getting worked by the dirtsheets.

Still, the fact that it's even a potential issue just shows how mental the whole situation is.  There's presumably now no legal stuff in place, get the guys in a room and tell them to act like grown-ups or face consequences.  Don't just kowtow to Punk and set up quarantine zones across your programming to avoid actually managing the situation.

I'm doing my best to try and tune out a lot of the dirtsheets on this. Especially Meltzer where a lot of stuff lifted from him is scattershot thoughts on podcasts/tweets/forum posts.

There's going to be a clearer picture once Forbidden Door is out of the way and they have to start shaping All In & All Out.

So far we've had months of flip-flopping on points and week one has had the pair of them (Punk/Elite) making jokes. Punk in his promo and Elite on BTE.

And also sounds like Kenny Omega will not appear (at least live) on either Dynamite or Collision this week ahead of Forbidden Door, despite the latter being in Canada.  Dynamite's in Chicago, so he'd likely get an interesting reception, but if you're shiting it from putting out one of the big components of one of your biggest matches first because of the reception he'll get in Chicago (because of Punk) or avoiding a massive pop on Collision (because of Punk) then surely that's a pretty big issue?

I know, I know, it's probably not that and he's just not able to appear, but still.

The only reason we know that is because Meltzer made sure to put it out there. That's more of a face saving exercise for the Bucks than Kenny. Pre-tapes and post-Dynamite/Rampage go home speeches has been the norm for Elite with live interview segments being a distant 3rd.

If it wasn't put out there ahead of time it would have gone unnoticed otherwise.

What has happened with Broomhill? They in trouble?

    Might be more wishful thinking.

There's a rumour about unpaid players from last season during the Open Goal Broomhill era. The club's a bit of a cockroach and i'm sure will still stumble along regardless.

St Marks is in a public park. A football pitch with a small fence round it. There is zero chance of any substantial facilities going in there.

I'm not really bothered about that. It's more the saga around "Edinburgh City". Since Craigroyston were rumoured to be switching to it late last season and FC Edinburgh's new board talked about the intention to return to Edinburgh City. Is this all one and the same or competing interests?

  8. CM Punk did lay the groundwork for things in the opening promo and pretty much saying he's still the champion. Probably is the main event never had any follow up or post match angle. Even a backstage interview with Samoa Joe would have done something to say he's coming for him to build the match and help connect the two.

Did get the TNT switch that's been part of an ongoing storyline and there was set up to HoB v. Andrade & ??? LFI maybe.

Commentary team didn't bother me much. Didn't really consider it lesser as Kevin Kelly's 20 year removed from regularly listening to him and sounded decent to me. Never the biggest fan of Nigel on comms. Excalibur was a bit of a non-entity to me before AEW started up. Happy to give them a chance. With JR stepping back, after being part of the original announcement, there's an opportunity to tweak it with a new 3rd if need be.

Punk needs tied into something serious for the show to have some extra meaning.

Oh, and Scorpio Sky. I like you but maybe call up Kaz at Impact for a gig.

Aye but its the ground shares in tiers 1-5  that are holding things up is it not ?? Also dont QOS share with a few SOS teams ??

Ground shares are an excuse for the Lowland League as they have a number of SPFL groundshares and its the SPFL that dictate things. Which is why the Highland League already have their fixtures out.

In the WoSFL all that's there is Glasgow University. Fair enough on that holding things up but even with a fixture list last season they played a number of games on Fridays.

Admittedly that's one thing the EoS is better at. But - in the 'real' seniors you play league games Home then Away. How many times does this happen at our level? The team I watch can play numerous games away from home on the trot then it'll be a run of home games. In the Juniors the teams that won cup-finals got prize money. I spoke to someone who helps out a club that won a trophy last season. As well as getting a trophy all they got was a share of the gate (after expenses had been deducted including the price of a match ball - who got the match ball?!) In the Juniors there was prize money not only for the winners but also the runners-up.

Basically starts with alternating league fixtures. Certainly with the intention. Going to invest undersoil seating, other forms of pitch protection and scrap most cups that since deep cup runs cause disruption to the league calendar? After all most 'real' seniors get papped out of 3 cups after 2 rounds max, some of which would be midweek to avoid interrupting league play.

The basis of the Junior Cup is a guarantee from semi-finals and final. Not prize money. Going by the East Region rule book their finals have been the Region taking 25% of the net gate and the remainder split equally. If there was anything extra giving its at the discretion of the Region and would be based on their finances and sponsorships. Since money doesn't grow on trees.

There's certainly constructive criticisms that can be made. The EoS having grown could probably attract better sponsorship. It's not like they're hoarding a pot of gold.

It’s strange there aren’t more Cumbernauld fans though. Decent sized town.

They've had Clyde until recently. Cumbernauld United for the Juniors.

And you can probably guess two of the more popular clubs in the town.

Tried to find a thread for each team. Couldn’t find a recent one for three of the teams.

Thought it was a nice initiative, sorry if people think otherwise.

I was just wondering why. Saw a bunch of dead threads bumped because it's not like a lot of those teams have active posters on here. Some of the reasons might have sparked more engagement in the Transfer thread recently started or creating a predictions thread.
