  1. We still won't shoot with that wind behind our backs until we are in the 6 yard box
  2. Nah - you just fancied an argument where one wasn't really necessary.
  3. In your opinion perhaps. Try not to take things so literally, I'm sure you understood the point I was making, and the reference to a rapist in this thread was frankly uncalled for.
  4. The last thing you want is fans having a say in the running of your club. Read any Clyde forum to see the carnage that causes. Shareholders in Shell don't assume they know anything about extracting oil from deserts or oceans, everybody thinks they know football.
  5. That whole area to the east of Munich is very nice. Lots of little local bars/restaurants that are very Bavarian and easy to get into town.
  6. Bonnyrigg Rise have just announced Wingnut as their new manager. Full details to follow shortly from the man himself. He will also reveal what a Bottin is at the same press conference.
  7. Thanks that's helpful - just trying to keep the cost of all this to a manageable level...
  8. Apologies if asked and answered already - lots of info floating around. With regard to the free train travel in/around match days if you have a match ticket. Q1 - We are staying in Munich and will want to get the train over to Stuttgart for the Hungary game -does the free travel include a journey of that length or is it only in/around Stuttgart as that is where the game is. Q2 - If it does include Munich to Stuttgart - how do you make a train booking if you have no match ticket until much nearer the time?
  9. Thanks - will go on their site tonight and have a look. Six of us going, and I know not all of them want to pay £300+, but you only live once.
  10. Does anyone have any idea how reliable that sort of website is - Live Football Tickets? Will they deliver - anyone used them or have any insight? Cheers
  11. Stats all decent again with the exception of the important one. Some glaring misses from Beto, McNeil and what can you say about DCL? Escape, if it comes, will be by the skin of their teeth.
  12. Will they get taken away again as part of Witch Hunt 2.0?
  13. Thought the manager got that all wrong. Wrong players, wrong tactics. Ashley Young was anon wide right. DCL ineffective on his own. McNeil and Garner not much better and frankly Doucoure did not look fit. Can't see a 1-5 this weekend, so it is getting a bit worrying.
  14. And I will happily buy 1, 2 or 3 Hungary tickets if someone cannot use them. Fingers and everything else crossed.
  15. No match tickets and other things going on, so 6 of us in Munich for a few days at the end of first phase. Lufthansa Edi to Mun Sunday will be DB (or Flixbus) from Munich to Stuttgart It's been a while so really looking forward to it....
  16. 36 - 12 mutton, 12 beef and 12 chicken and mushroom
  17. Perhaps we could do a Saturday Swap Shop kind of thing? We take your Board and you take ours and £110 plus a tray of pies?
  18. If you are dragged up in Inverclyde then bigotry is a daily occurrence. You then, I assume, have to cast that shadow over others to lift the veil of gloom that hangs over your existence down there. A cursory glance at the number of posts he makes on here will give a clue to his 'life'. Best ignored for the most part to encourage him to visit other threads.
  19. Agreed- we have little or no links with much of Glasgow outside of the south-east quadrant
  20. Now that Clyde team were decent, but interesting the crowd is not much more than we are attracting at Hamilton with a simply woeful set of players throughout 2023. Perhaps food for thought for those who think that simply moving back to Glasgow 44 years later will bring a noticeable uptick.
  21. One of the problems with these forums is that people judge everyone by their own standards and their own motivations. We all go to football on a Saturday for different reasons. We all go with varying levels of interest and excitement (foreboding). We all go with varying levels of concern about the cost. We all started at different points in a club's history - was your first Clyde striker Harry Hood or Robert Jones - the answer determines the drop off in quality you have witnessed. We all have varying levels of calls on our time with family etc. All of the above means we all have varying points at which we will decide enough is enough. No one should be critcised for making that decision at a time that suits them.
  22. Only going to make few days prior to Hungary game now. Flights and accommodation booked in Bavaria for me and the boys. No sniff of a ticket so looks like the Stuttgart fan zone
  23. Paying to watch players who could conceivably be worse than what was there pre xmas in a stadium with no atmosphere and little/no hope of progress. Sometimes in life you just need to accept the inevitable and make the necessary changes...
