  1. Recent events have me beyond apathy. I did not even bother travelling 10 miles for the game on Friday as the outcome was all too predictable. I would go as far as to say that if Crownpoint does not come to fruition with the potential growth that may offer, then for me we should hold our hands up and resign from the league before we ruin the club's name & history any further. No doubt an unpopular thought but that's where I am....
  2. First game since Thicotgate on January 7th Can't say I am bursting with anticipation. Foreboding is the word of the day.
  3. It was more a statement of requirements than assumption.
  4. Super result. DCL does seem to make a big difference. 4 points from Wolves & Bournemouth should be enough.
  5. Betis v Sociedad in the race for the CL. There was 42 500 @ the game even though the Seville Feria was on and packed out at the same time.
  6. I am not advocating any, simply saying a lifetime in politics is perhaps not the best all round experience required to run a country and work effectively with al stakeholders. Our current batch of politicians, both UK and Holyrood are lacking somewhat.
  7. If you read what I said, I would rather be in the EU. However, Brussels does have some control in some areas so it is an topic to be debated as to how much and in what areas. Currency is a huge area of discussion. You cannot dismiss Westminster as all bad, and the EU as a rose garden. So no, not daft at all.
  8. I think you know. The EU is not about decentralised power and decision making. Get rid of Westminster and replace with Brussels - is that a noticeable improvement? PS before you ask I voted to stay in the EU.
  9. At the same time are you wanting us back in the EU?
  10. Don't necessarily disagree. I just perceive the risk to all of us as being lower with the status quo than allowing this shower loose on building a new country with all the organisations, institutions and relationships that would need to constructed and developed. The idea that they operate on a higher plane, both on a moral and capability level, has been and well and truly decimated.
  11. i am interested in who exactly would govern this future independent country if not the Nats, Greens, Albas? The independent Scottish government would be filled with the same quality of politician we have now except now they would have free rein to do anything without reference to Westminster and any checks the make on them (accepting they hardly cover themselves in glory). The standard of person involved is woeful, and they are lording it over the country as politicians with no experience of anything much beyond being a politician (or councillor). Desperate days.
  12. Glad you asked that question...the idea that squeezing higher rate taxpayers to solve Scotland's problems is frankly beyond laughable.
  13. But if you don't know how to solve something, just put the tax up. Always a good vote winner.
  14. Double down. It is better than admitting you have been lied to, conned and made to look foolish.
  15. The point is relevant if you take time to think it through. Whilst their away support is less important, their home attendances are poor and outside the visits of Falkirk and Dunfermline are usually less than 500. So, that begs the question as to why they have been able to field a team which is x points above us with y better goal difference? Is it quality of management in terms of being able to spot a player? Is it quality of management in terms of being able to motivate a player? Is it quality of Board member/staff member in terms of attracting commercial income? Is it an after-effect of the whole David Goodwillie episode and some players just did not want to come here? Have we wasted funds that could have been better utilised? Is it none of the above or all of the above? The number of people following the team is relevant to their current position and long term viability. It isn't a reason to point fingers, but it is certainly a reason to ask how they are flourishing on such meagre support?
  16. Huge game on Saturday. A loss followed by a trip to Dunfermline could make it a very very nervous last weekend.
  17. Doubt it very much. Which means they are entering commercial negotiations with no leverage and everyone knows it.
  18. SNP hid resignation of auditors for six months, Humza Yousaf reveals | HeraldScotland All sorts claimed in that article...
