  1. Have they given up on Nia as a face now, or are they moving Rousey more to the heel side? Or, probably more likely, they just can't be arsed with either. Or a story.
  2. If we stay up, we get the training complex. Go down and they've set aside a red ash pitch deep underground.
  3. Nice little micro-climate in there. The seething messes who just can't understand it The really seething messes who are Helen Lovejoy-ing it (apparently Rome are taking over their club) A few Bernard Manning types off on a tangent talking about "her upstairs" (no doubt the ones who think she deserves a slap whenever ra gerz don't win) The ones delighting in child abuse The just plain "I'm not a racist but all them kafflicks are up to something" brigade Then the tiny minority - the ones who can't really bring themselves to care about such a nothing issue Deary me
  4. This. There's something just...odd about it. Uncanny valley.
  5. Given there's no way to back up your saves physically, it's essentially a storage option should something go wrong. I have no interest in playing NES games, or really playing any Switch games online. Would need to offer a lot more to be of any interest to me.
  6. If I could paint a picture of the entire game, it'd be Conor Sammon scoring while in the background Archie's dragging his arse along the ground like Lineker in that World Cup game, with Devine trying to find his way out of the North Stand while we try our best to make sure we don't keep any sort of lead. Fair to say I'm not confident.
  7. You didn't fix it very well going by the rest of the post.
  8. Picked up the Labo variety pack on Friday. An incredibly inventive piece of kit that has been very, very well put together. Only negative is that the wee one's only 1, would be great fun to build things with him. As it is though, I think the portion that allows you to get into the inner workings of what the hardware can do is going to lead to some absolutely brilliant results from the more creative.
  9. Not sure what's alarming about it - they'll have to comply with the terms of their license, so their hands are tied. I believe SI aren't allowed to sell the previous edition of FM on Steam once the new one is released, and they have other pretty draconian licensing agreements they have to abide by. Like the real fixtures for the EPL being unavailable, or the actual real-life standings for international qualifying. Not that I'm agreeing with it, in FM's case the extent of licensing has gone too far, but this one seems quite tame.
  10. If you like that sort of thing, Rayman Legends is a masterpiece. Wonderful little platformer with some very well put together levels.
  11. I do remember looking at the Summerslam packages and thinking they weren't quite as bad as I'd expected. Always thought prime seats would rush you several thousand dollars as it was, but the travel packages do seem quite reasonable. Still a fuckload of money of course, but could be worse. I'm still holding out for a WM or Summerslam in London (well, UK, but let's face it, it'll be London). Give one to Hampden, let them have a Toryglen Backlot Brawl into the Asda car park.
  12. Wouldn't it be better to have as many greeting face berrz in Easter Road for when you beat them again and consign them to 3rd (or 4th)?
  13. The Switch console itself is more kid friendly in the input scheme. Joy cons would surely suit kids' hands better than the PS4 controller too. It's not just the games. Plus the Switch is always going to have that focus and aspect to its development going forward, PS4 doesn't.
  14. It's all quite desperate, isn't it? Not that I'm against staying at Hampden - in fact, selfishly, it's my number 1 choice - but articles like that as a bald attempt to say "look, Hampden's pure dead brilliant byraway!" are just a bit sad. Everyone knows that Hampden can have a good atmosphere, as it has done for Scotland matches in the past. But it likely won't most of the time. Just like most of the cathedrals of football can have electric atmospheres sometimes, but probably won't achieve that when there's a sub-capacity crowd in there on a freezing midweek for a league match with little at stake.
  15. Which would normally be a good thing, but given that once you hit the final 3 matches, no-one cares about WM anymore, they'd be better not in that slot. Granted, would be interesting actually booking a main event where neither party is hated by the audience.
  16. Saw a gif/video on instagram someone linked to of a camera solely focused on Mauro during Takeover. I said during the show that he sounded like he was particularly red in the face and giving it his all, and by f**k did he. Essentially this, but a wee bit more extravagant.
  17. The only moment I can think of was his "for the love of mankind" line that he was visibly reading from a script during Shane/Taker. That little moment says it all really. Cole probably has the talent to be considered on that level, but he has to put up with shit that none of the other greats did. Seem to remember he was pretty good at the UK Tournament, presumably because Vince was absent and couldn't bellow down the earpiece at him to "call him the big dog, put over that guy, AND DRINK YOUR FUCKING MOUNTAIN DEW COLE!". I do feel a bit sorry for him - he's a great broadcaster doing a good job in difficult circumstances. He's certainly far better than a lot of people they've put behind the desk.
  18. Could fit his chicken-shit heel character too. Shame though, as they usually book very, very good tag matches, and I can see this one being sacrificed a little for the ladder match. Still, fucking hell this is going to be a good show.
  19. If we do go down, I wouldn't be against giving him more time to send us straight back up, but if he goes, I wouldn't exactly be upset. In fact, I'd probably rather he leave us after having saved us from relegation, on good terms. Still think (for at least ~14 hours) that we're more likely to stay up than go down, either miraculously digging ourselves out or getting through a playoff. Lose tonight and that'll likely evaporate.
  20. NerdCubed had it right with this game - it's one that never, ever stops. It's just stuff on top of stuff on top of stuff. See a guy? You'll save him and he'll tell you about a stash. Walk towards that stash, you'll come across a farm to liberate with its own person to save. They'll tell you about another character. Then you'll come across a lake to do some fishing. Then a mountain lion will attack you. Then a silo. Etc etc etc until you've spent 3 hours and you're not sure how. I'm still not convinced I'm really enjoying the game in as many words, but it is absorbing. Suspect the repetitive parts of it will get boring by the time I've played it for a really long time, but it's the first open-world game I've managed to get into in the past year or so, probably since Horizon. Plus I'm only playing it until I can get Peaches and Cheeseburger.
  21. So still no Undertaker...it would just be so Vince to not have the match after all of this, wouldn't it?
  22. Think that'll do it, but I'm in work so have no idea if the content of the video is as the title. Looks like it.
  23. Do they vacate the titles or just slot Cole in there for something to do? For some reason I can't stand Kyle O'Reilly's face, and Fish is just...meh.
  24. I was coming in here to post about Ospreay's bump. Fucking sickening. Folded up with all his weight on his neck. Seems that he's "OK", although he'll miss some time. He really is going to have quite a short career, isn't he? His style can't go on forever. Shame for the guy, really enjoy watching him
  25. The Quickly Kevin podcast is back, and it's still consistently brilliant. Lee Dixon on earlier this week talking about the 89 documentary, and the previous week was James Richardson. Usually can't stand the smug b*****d, but he dialled it back quite a bit given he was in the guest chair rather than presenting. They've managed to get guests on that consistently have really interesting stories to tell, whether that's Miles Jacobsen talking about CM/FM, a Premier League ref (can't quite remember who it was) or Jim Rosenthal. Quite a mix rather than just getting on old footballers. And next week they're revisiting Steve Bruce's Striker series. Ooft.
