GMS is just tremendous fun. Think he's played about 90 minutes for me over 3 games, 3 goals. Even smashing them in in the air too. Ludicrous card. At this rate an all Scottish side might be a fair proposition going into the end of the season.

Because I'm sure no-one can think of any examples of players playing worse for us than their club side, right? No, we don't want to shove him into the side for our biggest game of ages and pin all our hopes on someone who has barely played any minutes. Because that's what would happen. It ALWAYS happens. Should he start in every single Chelsea game between now and the playoff game, he's in with a shout. Should we somehow manage to get through that and he becomes a regular at Chelsea for the rest of the season and keeps impressing, he'll be nailed on. But at the moment, in my opinion it'd be a big risk to start him.

He's looking very good, and I'd have him in the squad based purely on this. Still wouldn't want to subject him to the pressure of being in the team though. Playing in a very talented Chelsea squad at home in an exciting cup game might make him look better than playing in a desperate Scotland team getting hounded by the fans. Future's well and truly bright for him though, and hopefully for us.

That seems fucking mental, to be honest. So one of the League B groups goes right down to the wire. Two teams pummel the other two, and trade wins, with one going through on goal difference. The runner-up has a much better record than any other League B side, even some winners. They still get passed over for a League C group winner? That seems wrong, which I guess would make it very on-brand for UEFA with this. As for the draw, it's pretty meh, but better to be meh and winnable than exciting and a tall-order. I'd have preferred a home nation in there, particularly Wales for a bit of revenge, but can't win them all. If we manage to beat Israel in March, we've essentially claimed them so not worried there. Don't think the Czechs are that special, so Slovakia are the side to beat. Still though, this one seems like the sort of group where everyone ends on similar points, as do quite a few of them. Should be good.

I don't think it would be so bad had they not had the stupid Saudi show in the middle. I think RR and WM are too far apart to go with nothing (and WWE are fucking awful at filling when there's a long way to go), but it definitely doesn't need two shows. The RR should set up your main event with the winner, and EC can set up everything that's not quite settled yet.

Did both Rooney and The Kelvin Worrier last night and gave them a few games. Rooney is incredible. Not going to be as easy to link for people given he's in the Championship but as a sub he's been great. 7 goals in 4 Rivals games, usually as a half-time sub. Mackay-Steven I haven't had the chance to have a proper go at, as I've been having to sub on Spanish players to get that Bartra card. But on his first appearance, he juggled the ball four or five times in the box, swiveled, and struck an absolute beezer of a shot off the bar and down onto the line. Does seem to have that extra bit of pace that the top players have, should be great fun to use. Now if I could just get Dalglish or something to link GMS and Tierney...

I feel like if they just had the Fiend attack Cena, it would've been worse and a bit unimaginative. Maybe they've actually finally realised that it's a long old road, and they can't shoot their load off too early. I'd like to think we've got people in those positions with enough experience in football behind them to be able to tell whether a player is good enough without wasting a squad place on someone who has absolutely no chance of playing. The only spots we should be treating like that are for a very select group of youth players making the transition into the senior from the youth squads. And even then I have doubts about the benefit of that.

I think it's a bit unfair to direct everything at Tierney. IF his drop-outs haven't been 100% genuine, then it's far more likely that his employer are putting pressure on him than it is Tierney just not being arsed. He's clearly had pretty serious injury problems, so it makes sense that Celtic - and now Arsenal - want to protect their investment. And what player is going to go against the wishes of the ones that pay his wages to play for their country these days?

After only just managing to complete Acuna last week after going through some fucking rancid form, I decided to sacrifice a lot of tradeable players to change the team up a bit. Out went OTW De Jong, OTW Griezmann and Kante, for a combined ~600k. Already had around 170k in the bank, so was swithering on whether to buy Mbappe, further sell OTW Ben Yedder and buy big Ronaldo, or do something different. In the end, I went for the big, strong, Italian door, and went for PIM Vieri. And f**k me this guy is good. Liked his middle card, but he never seemed to have quite enough to be worth all those coins. But this PIM card is ludicrous. Need pace? He'll burn past you like a semi-truck. Need strength? He'll run straight through you. Got the ball on his left foot? May as well not have a keeper, the balls going fucking through you. 20 goals in 18 games, pretty much all in Rivals. If you've got around 600k and want an Icon, get him. Settled on the above team, starting in a 4-3-3 to get 100 chem (think lowest anyone is on is 8). Did the Liga NOS SBC to get Battaglia, and him sitting alongside Acuna means I'm nowhere near missing Kante. Price-wise, I probably traded him for completing the SBC, and with Acuna there I think it's an improvement. I've managed to get Tierney in permanently (usually had to play Roberto Carlos for chemistry) and he is incredible. First time since Forrest's ludicrous run of cards last year where I've managed to get a Scotsman in regularly. And up front is obviously great fun. Messi is finally just as good as he ought to be, Ben Yedder is a cheat code, and if anyone tries to come near the wee guys, Vieri will f**k them up anyway. And take their wives.

My answer is always the same - earn them yourself, you'll feel a bigger sense of achievement that way. Hooooo boy the messages I've received back for that. Servers came back about 9 last night so managed to knock back all but 1 of the wins for Acuna. But sweet fucking Christ it's been utterly miserable. Just constant charging down the wing looking for the cut-back, or just breaking the line of defence and squaring it to a second men EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME. I've rage quit so many games when I've gone behind chasing that one opponent whose shite enough for me to get a rage quit in return, probably going to be in division 9 by the end of it.

They've done really well recently, putting on pretty solid PPVs, even making the Saudi shows watchable. But that? f**k me.

This card looks utterly fucking miserable to be honest. Usually on these shows we get a few odd matches or stipulations that make it watchable in a car crash sense. This just looks achingly B-show PPV.

How exactly did he deliberately violate it? I like to think he went to Connecticut and shot up in front of Vince "SEE VINCE, SEE?!"

I would probably say the 400s. 750 becomes a bit of a risk. With the 400 you can break even by selling two absolute jobbers, but you're relying a bit more on luck with the 750. Especially given I think a lot of the really valuable bronze players aren't rare, so you've arguably got more chance getting them in the 400 than the 750. Just be prepared for a fucking massive slog. Gone are the days when it was guaranteed money. Now you're probably likely to get something but you're going to be spending a long time getting there.

I've had a pretty shocking run too. Late last week rose up to Division 6, probably highest I'd been in a long time. But since then I think I've won 3 and lost into the double figures. Either the annoying games where you feel like you should be better but they're spamming sweaty cut-backs, or someone who is genuinely better.

Spot on. When I was a grad I quite enjoyed the odd jolly to London. Bit of work, then some peace later at night where you can enjoy (reasonable) expenses. Exciting and new when you're young and don't have too many commitments, but nowadays I'd much rather be at home with family than get a few "free" meals that you pay for with extra work and travel. Don't see the furore either - as long as they're spending in line with whatever expense policy they have, it'd be weirder if they didn't get spotted taking advantage of it.
