  1. Just watched highlights and as I thought, yes we lose possession cheaply with Hynes poor touch but once again Parry looks really slow to get down, whether or not it’s a decent strike, he should be doing better. Is and has been another recurring issue and weakness in this side.
  2. That fills me with dread, never occurred to me that one. Lyons with Cunningham in front of him? Oh my God!
  3. Wonder if Hynes can play LB? Central defenders worry me, MCGeever is not quick and not played all year. Sula I still haven’t made up my mind about but is at least reasonably mobile. Left mid is still a worry, Cunningham is mile off as a midfield player.
  4. In my opinion Grant was an extreme disappointment. Classic Lennon signing, a player on reputation and not actually watching him. Best days are long gone. Very good in the air if defending a direct ball. Zero pace and his general movement was so laboured it looks like he is I constant pain and stiff. The classic case of your Da helping you out at fives, decent I’m his day but now can’t move. Whether McGeever is any better remains to be seen but can’t be any worse and if memory serves is much , much more physical than Grant.
  5. He was miles away from being good enough, unbelievable signing again by Lennon. How he or anyone else at the club thought he could do a job was astonishing.
  6. Was confirmed by a director that it’s utter nonsense. The player is now in full contact training with the team and still continuing additional rehab and strength work with the physio on his own.
  7. Don’t be daft, they will be scouring the country looking for players and Diamond will be preparing his speech for the next fans meeting!
  8. First game I’ve enjoyed for week and weeks! Great work ethic and desire today and what a difference it makes. Also what a difference with Cudihay at full back (their goal perhaps apart). As I’ve said before he is very average midfield player but very decent full back. First sight of the new guys and pretty pleased with them, some presence in centre of the park till he ran out of steam. Green shoots of improvement at least.
  9. I agree, if we are getting money for him then take it. I also agree he will be missed as he has actually scored goals in a truly awful team. Whether or not Falkirk are getting the great striker they think they are getting remains to be seen in my opinion. He, like most players at this level, misses a fair number of chances and first touch is actually pretty poor. However, he worked really hard for us and good luck to him now he is back in full time football. I only hope we actually got a decent fee for him. Be nice if we manage to use some of the cash to get either a decent CH or proper midfield player. Don’t hold my breath right enough.
  10. I would never nor did I say he wasn’t good enough for Clyde, I actually never mentioned him at all, I talked about the ex Clyde players on show last night. I have no memory of him ever playing for us, however I’m getting old now and aging even more rapidly watching the farce that is a football club at the moment. So forgive me.
  11. I agree those you mention of the current players are garbage but of the Darvel three only Kirkpatrick was decent. Apart from hiding in the playoff final at Hampden of course. ferguson never recovered to decent level after injury, was really poor laterally actually. Of course they will now be on double what we can pay anyway.
  12. Bankrolled to massive level no comparison to our situation
  13. Just listened to the audio from our Dinosaur manager. Did I hear correctly? "best we could have hoped for was a 0-0 given the conditions? Thats bordering sacking offence on its own, is he saying he was playing for a point? oh what a surprise! Honestly he is the most negative manager ever Certainly not since our last negative manager, what was his name again? Oh aye Jim Effing Duffy!
  14. Why have you not got him on ignore? most already have!
  15. I honestly don’t know where we go from here. I get folk saying board should go, I know they have arsed it but it’s impractical as there are no one to replace them unfortunately. I actually think they would go if it was possible. The Duffy appointment is a disaster as we predicted. A fecken dinosaur! Absolutely zero leadership on the park and from manager. Grant, Parry and McLean are as experienced as you could get, yet they are spineless. Total let down and wage thief’s them and the rest of them! Depressing stuff
  16. Not being disrespectful to Peterhead, far from it, they have had our number for years, but how can’t we score against them, like us teams have found that easy this season. Even if we lost 2-1 or 3-2 we have to be looking at scoring. We are now in our deserved and expected position in the league. Duffy has done nothing to improve Lennon’s debacle absolutely nothing Please just wrap it Jim.
  17. Hopefully at least one is a proper midfielder, in fact a right b*****d would be nice. We are far too nice. A version of a young Marvin Wilson would be ideal.
  18. Hard to argue with that but to happen it needs to be now, before Saturday or there is no point. Personally I don’t think the club have it in them to even try sadly.
  19. Yesterday looked like the end of days.. those players in a Clyde shirt and the Manager just look like they have down tools and accepted it’s over. I know all supporters say these things when they are watching their side sliding towards relegation.. However, Parry for example is just so slow now it’s embarrassing, but worse thing is; it doesn’t even look like it bothers him one bit! Peter Grant is also finished and slower than anything I’ve seen in years. If the ball isn’t thrown directly in direction of his napper just forget it. Falkirk players showed him up big time yesterday. Much as I could rip into 99% of the players what’s the point, other than making me feel better for the rant! I just get so annoyed at certain individuals. Surely these two players for example don’t need Clyde wages to survive, professional pride should just make them just chuck it. Same could be said about Duffy. Even if he ever had it in the first place. I’ve supported this club for nearly 60 years and I seen good sides, decent sides, poor sides and abysmal sides, however as some have said and I agree this feels different as we can see no way out of this situation without a drastic change in circumstances. Problem being the club seem to have very little wherewithal to facilitate any positive change. Sad and sorry days
  20. As I alluded earlier I say to Duffy, thanks Jim but you are not staying on next season. Stay on till then if you want or walk, please yourself!
  21. Season is done; time to prepare for next season. Have to start looking for new manager now, whether we get him in now or in May makes no odds. Tell Duffy he will not be here after this season. Don’t bother signing anyone else, just keep the pennies we have and even get pre contracts looked at (if we had new manager lined up obviously). Next week is going to be an absolute shit show, 100 % credit for any brave soul that makes that journey.
  22. Bet Duffy is forced to play Hynes in midfield now.. typical one step forward 2 back.
  23. 18 month contract..So is that Duffy staying beyond this season?
