Agreed, that’s the squad bulked up a bit and I’m not chucking the toys out with those guys signing. Now for 2-3 proper players that would actually make us close to challenging. Not confident this will happen of course.

I think most Clyde fans will describe his time with us as: He tried really hard but produced absolutely nothing catigory.

The ironic thing is I think the board accept the model doesn’t work, certainly CIV initially did it’s job and probably saved the club, however as has been said that, in fact very recently if an alternative was available then the board is open facilitating a change. Unfortunately there is no one it would seem interested in taking over. Who would? There is very little to encourage anyone with finance to come in.

Certainly not being able to play trialists, even a limited number has been a well documented issue surrounding this competition. Many managers particularly last season were complaining about it, particularly as it’s so early in the season. it’s a big problem for part time clubs.

I think they will be well aware of the fans dissatisfaction. Depriving the CLUB of income will only result in even poorer players ( if that’s possible). The board personally don’t get paid as we all Know so as far as I’m concerned not buying a season ticket will only hasten our decline even more. We are not part of the biggot brothers whose “loyal” fans do this sort of thing, which may actually make a difference to them. BTW, I was not having a personal go at you as an individual, I get yours and others frustration, I’m unhappy too. However, my support of decades will continue, which is my personal decision. You are more than entitled to yours.

Why would the Club put any financial figures on the public domaine? I’d imagine as in most cases such bids etc will be for the eyes of those deciding the award only.

I’ll no be going to those either, certainly not if there are still B teams in the LL.

Competition is still on my boycott list and has been since the B teams, Colts or whatever way the dress it up we’re allowed in! Tainted Cup and should either be scrapped, ignored or boycotted by fans of non B teams Clubs.

Not all are supportive and all current users want Clyde bid to succeed.

According to the info at the meetings etc it would be continuing ground share at NDP and move on (and look for) any other opportunity to build elsewhere should Crownpoint bid be unsuccessful. I think the Club are well aware that Council processes are notoriously difficult and are therefore realise it’s far from certainty we will actually get Crownpoint.

Agreed, probably not but there is absolutely no need to take the chance in this we don’t need it. Even on football terms which is irrelevant really he’s not even on the same stratosphere as Goodwillie.

Probably most clubs could manage to pull the “rehab, he’s served his ‘sentence’ card” we can’t. Media would be all over this. We need to be squeaky clean for next few years.

Absolutely no way we can sign him, as you say the publicity would finally kill us. Even having him as a trialists seems a huge risk on all sorts of levels!

Posted missing on 90% of games played for us. Imposter during his time simple as that. May well do ok elsewhere but Clyde fans will know he contributed very little along with the others during last 3 years. Either injured or hiding was his contribution

Week 1 - Falkirk

Let’s be honest it’s highly unlikely that anyone pitching for a trial with us at this stage of the season will be known faces.

Impossible to get excited about this season at the moment given the underwhelming signings. Absolutely no creativity within the squad which is criminal. Rubbish as we were last 2 years in particular we did at least have players like Splain, Salkeld and Roberts. Who tried to be positive and as creative as they were able. Unless by some miracle Duffy actually gets off his backside and tries to sign someone out-with his own limited sphere of players this season is head for a total bore fest at best. As I’ve said before I think Duffy is lazy which is evident from his signing policy so far. I’ll be delighted to be proven wrong but I doubt it.

Won’t last he is a coward, in real games you won’t even notice he is playing

Really frightening starting 11 that and I don’t mean ina hood way obviously. Even More concerning is the fact that the opportunity was there to clear some of the players who patently not good enough or finished… Parry, P Grant, Cameron in particular. As I said previously I would have liked a small squad with quality rather than just filling the side out. Getting points on the board early is vital. I realise it’s not as easy as we fans probably think to attract players to a club like ours at the moment but I do get a sense that Duffy has been a bit lazy here.. currrent players and ones he knows the only one he seems to be signing. I repeat the signing of Parry and Grant baffle me.
