Coronavirus and the Scottish Championship
mps02 replied to Granny Danger's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Since the world Cup in 2022 is to be held in winter would this be a good time to change to summer football? Seriously though I would not like to be in Cockwombles (remember that name) shoes. He is paid a fortune to make bad decisions. Whatever he (or the EPL) decides upon the legal profession will make a fortune. -
Tell us about your first ever game
mps02 replied to Poet of the Macabre's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
My first game was in 1989. Ayr United 1 Dunfermline 2 ft. John Sludden scored a goal after the Dumfy keeper missed the ball from a pass back. Dun o who scored for Dumfy. Don't really care. -

Whatever else happens, we really need to start beating our 'bogey' teams, starting with Dunfermline. -

To all my Raith buddies, well the one I know well, good luck for tonight. You may have lost out to us on Saturday but we both came down in harrowing circumstances, We can go up together. Come on Raith you can do this! -
But didn't his lawyer say Dave didn't have a pot to piss in? Then said that Dave (NOAL) would stump up if he lost his case with TAP? I'm trying not to laugh and point but its becoming hard. WATP? Bloody morons more like!

Tragically that is unlikely. Although with losing the case yesterday means Sevco could be in serious trouble, especially if he does not comply with the share offer and prospectus. The prospectus will be interesting as all financials must be listed, no unaudited accounts allowed! Things may just start getting fun again.

Ally McCoist is still available for managerial duties..... -
I have read that sh*the of a statement from the SFA, stating that there's nothing that can be done so nothing will be done. Can I just remind the blazers that there was and never has been a 'temporary' or 'conditional' licence to play within the SFA rules. However the rule book was rewritten to let Sevco play against Brechin in the challenge cup. Rules, it appears, can be written to favour the cheats but not to keep the sport honest. If this is the case then with a heavy heart I will not pay to watch another game and will turn my back on a game I love, so cheats can gain 'tainted trophies'. Sickened.

Follow Follow Rangers. Season 2023/24

What a pile of pish. Reminds me of the same stunt Hately pulled before Sevco/The Rangers International were formed from the stinking corpse of old Rangers. Remember the 'tainted title' pish? -

Looks like you will be going part time. Probably the reason for clearing everyone on a ft contract out. Didn't want you down as it would have given Ayr a decent chance of winning the league. Decent pt players will see you fine and I look forward to our tussles next season. -
93-?? Kilmarnock top flight run - a history.

And yet we are totally the opposite! BTW congratulations on your Four goal win this coming Saturday over my team.... -

Not really, Ayr have very few decent memories of recent (since the '70s) times. Just nice to remember some fun times. You should try it sometime! -

Loved seeing Killin get hummed by Ayr 4 seasons in a row, the first was bliss. Picture the scene:second in the league behind oldco Rangers against a mince Ayr team who were struggling in Division 2 (at the time). Robert Connor was released by Killie and signed by Ayr. He scored after 6 minutes and Killie tried and failed to score against us. Following season Killie as cup holders drew Ayr in Scottish Cup at Somerset, and got tanked 2-0. Follow that by a truly magical hammering the following season 3-0 at Somerset, where Mr Kilmarnock, Ray Montgomery, got sent off! Then a 0-0 draw with us playing most of the game with 10 men only to win on penalties! Fantastic. Killie have avoided relegation by luck for years. When it happens Killie will be stuck where Ayr are now (and St Minging soon enough) where Obscurity Knocks!!!
