  1. Pines by Blake Crouch What a way to start a trilogy. Blake Crouch is one of my absolute favourites and this is another brilliant book from him. Can't wait to see where it goes next.
  2. I asked the Mrs if she fancied it and was met with a resounding NO. SO we're going to see Godzilla v King King at the cinema instead. Honestly, if we can't beat Slovakia at home it's time to give up completely.
  3. Going to be a very exciting end to the season. We've essentially got 5 cup finals to play between now and mid May. I'd say if we can take 12 points we'll be in with a great shout of promotion, but that will be no easy task with a lot of tough games still to play.
  4. Jimmy Eat World - For Me The Is Heaven
  5. Incubus - A Certain Shade of Green
  6. I was really impressed with the facilities and I'll definitely be back next season. Agree that the name isn't great, but I see what they were trying to do.
  7. W.A.S.P. - I Don't Need No Doctor
  8. Vale of Leven 2-1 Irvine Victoria A late winner from a peach of a free kick hands us all three points on one of the windiest days I can remember a game being played in.
  9. Saw Romesh Ranganathan at the King's in Glasgow tonight. Really funny and surprisingly relatable. Very enjoyable evening.
  10. How far we've regressed under Pedro is obvious to everyone other than the brass at the SFA.
  11. The Snow Hare by Paula Lichtarowicz Not bad but didn't really grab my attention. Bit disappointed in it as it came highly recommended and pretty well hyped.
  12. My hamster is currently at the vet to be euthanised and I'm stuck at work unable to be there. Love the wee guy and I am absolutely devastated, as much as it is the kindest decision to have him put down,
  13. Rolling back the years to see Hell Is For Heroes tonight. Forgot just how good a band they are, so many great songs (Slow Song remains an all time classic). Justin sounds exactly the same as he did in 2003 and has the energy of a man half his age. Superb stuff. Support came from James and the Cold Gun and Templeton Pek, who were both decent but I'll not be rushing out to see either of them again.
  14. Bought my dad tickets for Slash for his Christmas and the gig came around tonight! Brilliant show, what a musician. The fifteen minute guitar solo was a sight to behold. Myles Kennedy is a fantastic frontman as well, and bassist Todd Kearns did superbly when he took over on vocals. Great night. Support from Mammoth WVH. Eddie's boy is very good indeed.
  15. Another new to me Overtone in The Brass Monkey. Quality beer, quality pub. Even got my dad on the craft beer as he's trying Up Front's Das Ist Ein Lagerbier!
  16. In The Brass Monkey in Finnieston before Slash at the Hydro tonight. Great selection in their fridges!
  17. Glen Hansard at the Pavilion tonight. Absolutely fantastic. A 2 hour plus set covering his solo material and work with The Frames. Just Glen and his guitar (and occasionally piano) for most of the set and really funny and engaging between songs. Superb show. Support was very unconventional as self proclaimed "mythteller" Martin Shaw spun a fairytale of his own creation. Unusual and quite entertaining.
  18. Had this Japanese White Ale at Maki & Ramen with dinner before Glen Hansard tonight. Very nice.
  19. Daði Freyr - Think About Things
