  1. I am surprised Sprints never got moved up given how quickly it sold out.
  2. My sister has come through with the goods and presented me with machine Head tickets for my birthday. Absolutely delighted, can't wait for that show!
  3. Spanish Love Songs - The Boy Considers His Haircut
  4. Sonic Youth - Female Mechanic Now On Duty
  5. I've got Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, Smells Like Nirvana and The Australian Pink Floyd booked for this year. Love a good tribute band, especially when it's for someone I'll not get the chance to see the real thing.
  6. Spectacular Strong Belgian Blonde from No Limits. I got the last out the keg of this when I went in on Saturday. Sold out 50 litres in 2 days. Can see why it was so popular.
  7. April Gigs: 2nd: Glen Hansard (Pavilion Theatre) 3rd: Slash (OVO Hydro) 4th: Hell is for Heroes (The Garage) 7th: Sprints (King Tut's Wah Wah Hut) 17th: Microwave + The Dirty Nil (Oran Mor) 26th: Soapbox (King Tut's Wah Wah Hut) (work permitting) A bit full on this week (celebrating my birthday with different people), but a much more sensible month after that.
  8. Mariners 2-2 after opening weekend at home to the Red Sox. Could have been a lot worse of a start.
  9. Thats 21 year old full Poland International Kinga Kozac
  10. Caledonia Gladiators Women 90-58 Newcastle Eagles Women Easter Sunday basketball in East Kilbride as the hometown Gladiators dominate and go top of the WBBL. What a player Laken James is. Record crowd of over 900 for the women's team. Really impressed with the purpose built facility at Playsport, excellent views from everywhere, great facilities and excellent food and drink options. Their self service beer machine was excellent. Looking forward to seeing how they develop the facility. Posting in here given the lack of a general basketball thread.
  11. The Long Blondes - Only Lovers Left Alive
  12. Henry from No Limits was hosting a beer tasting at The Bottle Shop in Helensburgh this afternoon. 4 pours of draft No Limits beer for a tenner. I assume it was supposed to be 1/3 pints, but he poured me closer to halves. Helensburgh Helles, Windy Welly pilsner, Road Trip wheat and Dani Cali West Coast pale. Had all four before but they're all excellent and was delighted to sample them again. Great beer, great company and chat, a really good way to spend an hour this afternoon.
  13. Hamilton at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre tonight. Went in with high expectations and it exceeded all of them. An utterly astounding piece of theatre. So glad I finally got to be in the room where it happens.
  14. A few in Brewdog Cowgate this afternoon, who have a stunning taplist on just now. I've had Foggy Skyline by Kuehn Kunz Rosen, Chocolate Orange Sour by Vault City and When the Seagulls Follow the Trawler by Boundary which have all been excellent. Taplist pictured.
  15. I always thought her team mate Anna Ssloan had the best eyes.
  16. Hardcore Superstar - We Don't Celebrate Sundays
  17. Legally Blonde at Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock tonight. Put on by Hamilton Theatre Arts, a further education performing arts college. It's one of my favourite musicals in general and the third time I've seen it. This was probably the best production of it I've seen. Super talented cast, and a really nice wee Theatre. Good way to start the long weekend.
  18. Out for dinner with a friend with severe food allergies. Nandos is safe for her, so here we are! For a non alcoholic beer this is pretty flavourful.
