  1. Depends where he's getting them from. In my experience, the 5 loan limit only applies to domestic loans. There's no limit on how many players you can loan from clubs in England or abroad. Could be wrong though. My FM knowledge refers to older versions.
  2. Used to like Chelsea when I was younger back when they had Zola and Poyet. Now though, especially since I went down to Stamford Bridge, I've took great pleasure in their failings. Feel a bit sorry for Sarri though.
  3. Got a few things in the pipeline. Away on a lads holiday in April to Munich and looking into getting tickets for the Augsburg game that weekend. Away back to Germany in May for my usual trip to Schalke, but like last year, gonna take the girlfriend a few other places en route, which of course means more foreign fitba. Last year we did Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris as well as Dusseldorf and Koln over in Germany. Only game I took in apart from the Schalke game was FC Utrecht vs VVV Venlo. This year we're going to Reykjavik, Copenhagen and Basel before we head to Germany. Already spotted Valur vs IA on the Saturday night I'm in Iceland. Valur are champions and only play 20 minutes walk from my hotel so that'll be interesting. The Danish league will still be ongoing when I'm in Copenhagen, but don't arrive til Sunday evening and they do a split like us so can't gauge it yet. There's usually Monday night games though so hoping for a bit of luck. A game in Basel is probably off limits. The Swiss league is also ongoing when I arrive but matches haven't been re-scheduled for TV yet so I've no idea if I'll get a chance. That said, provisional fixtures show a midweek round when I arrive.
  4. As mentioned a couple of pages before you, I was at Chelsea vs Newcastle a couple of weeks before albeit in the away end. Toon fans noisy as ever, but rest of the ground was silent. Even after the game, walking to the tube and on the tube, everyone was just so dull and lifeless. Going down to St James on Saturday to watch Newcastle vs Huddersfield.
  5. Yeah I'd say that looks like the most likely outcome. Out of curiosity, where did Tweedmouth Rangers come from? Were they previously playing in the English set up? I just can't recall seeing them in EoS before the last year or 2.
  6. Excellent! Just look out for the tall, fat **** with the glasses on the touchline.
  7. Only podcast I listen to 'religiously' is Athletico Mince. Went through a phase of listening to all the Totally Football offerings (Mon & Thursday football show, Scottish, Golazzo AND Football League) but it's all a bit too much. Listened to The Terrace a few times but again, 2 hour long episodes a week feels just too long for me. I dunno if it feels right or not, but I've actually started listening to the 30 minute 'best of' daily episodes of Hawksbee & Jacobs on Talksport.
  8. We play our home games at the new Portobello High School, got Easthouses there on Sunday. They cuffed us 12-1 last time round, but they also cuffed us 13-0 way back last season and we pumped them out the Edinburgh Cup after, so I expect a response.
  9. Yeah loved it! Looking back through this thread at your posts as I notice you go to a lot of LEAFA games on a Sunday. Don't suppose you've been down to watch the famous Broughton Albion yet?
  10. I was there too. 2nd Derby but the first in the Nordkurve. Toyed with the idea of going to see Werder vs Fortuna but ended up going to Viktoria Koln vs Bonner SC.
  11. One of my favourite wonderkids on FM07 was a 14 year old Chilean striker called Nicolas Millan. Could sign him, but he usually had to sit in the reserves for 3 or 4 years til he could get a work permit and you couldn't loan him out as most countries you need to be 17/18 to go on loan.
  12. Been following the EoS closely this season. Great to see the Scottish pyramid really taking off, but this is where you can't help but feel we need to reshuffle the top 4 leagues into top 2 perhaps.
  13. I'll fully expect Ann to sell the club, buy it back, and sell it again.
  14. **** me, even in a parallel universe we're bottle merchants. Levein oot.
  15. Only been there once but great games for me. Amateur club I'm secretary of won a cup there last season. Great day in the sun.
  16. Was down at Stamford Bridge for the first time on Saturday, in the Toon end no less. Cracking day out, drinking mainly in the Earl's Court area. Nice ground, good atmosphere from the away end, but Chelsea fans are shite.
  17. Poetic. I couldn't have summed it up better!
  18. Stumbled upon this thread and literally was going to post Hawick. I stayed there for 4 years. A relatively nice town ruined by people. It's just so isolated, 50 miles from Edinburgh which made it an absolute **** for me to still come up to see family, Hearts games etc. It's bigger than Galashiels too, but has less than Gala. There is literally **** all to do in Hawick. High street is a ghost town after 7pm. The kind of place that drives you to let guys do a Tam Kite on yer face, as the media shows. I also want to throw Dalkeith in the mix. I lived there for about a year with my birds folks, and had talked about buying a house there. Glad I changed my mind. Again, a not bad town in general, just full of ****ing roasters. I now reside in Musselburgh, a far better calibre of people.
  19. I had no problem with Edwards reaction. He didn't do anything OTT, merely applauded his team mate who scored a cracking goal.
  20. Harvey Keitel eats a Wagon Wheel after every meal.
  21. A lot of fans have a huge grudge already because he applauded Adam Hammill goal against us. Bear in mind, he was his team mate at the time. That, and one fan in particular on Facebook thinks he's 'shite' because he played for Partick Thistle.
  22. I'm heading down to Landan tonight, off to see Palace vs Schalke tomorrow. Not all that random considering Schalke are my 2nd team but a fair way to go for a friendly!
  23. Thank **** that Vanquis ad got a mention. It really does my ****ing head in. I want to punch that Geordie twat clean off his horse. Also, for some reason the Deichmann ads with Ellie Goulding annoy me. Her face annoys me, and the fact a woman's clothes shop is called Deichmann does too. It sounds like a ****ing electronics company who make hi-fi's.
  24. No, most of you seem to think Efe Ambrose is much better.
